Marriage is not in next five years - Aamisha!

Contrary to the present rumours that actress Aamisha Patel is marrying with her director-friend Vikram Bhatt in the current month, Aamisha in a recent interview said, she has no plan to marry in the next five years. Also she urged media to keep mum until she announces the date of her marriage. She said, she is awfully busy in professional work and has no time for personal matters like marriage at the present juncture.

Aamisha has just finished shooting of Dharmesh Darshan's 'Aap Ki Khatir' and in next few days she will be busy with Farhan Akhtar's next.

After 'Vah Life Ho Toh Aisi', Shahid Kapoor is paired opposite Amrita Rao again in 'Vivah'. Is Kareena comfortable with the on-screen chemistry the two of they share?

"Why wouldn't she be? She's been long enough in the film industry to understand how it works. What we do on screen is our profession and she takes it like a professional, she doesn't mind. In fact, she old Amrita share a good rapport together," quipped Shahid.

Amitabh back at work, first scene with Rani Mukherji!

Big B back in action after a four months break due to his ill health. Last week he was seen in a public function inaugurating an eye clinic in Mumbai. That was his first public appearance since he underwent a surgery in December last year.

However Big B started with Karan Johar's forthcoming 'Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna'. As per source, he arrived early at the sets at Yash Raj studio in suburban Mumbai. His first shot was with Rani Mukherji. Rani also reached at very early at the sets. Industry saw Amitabh-Rani's reunion after Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Black'.
As per persons present there Rani and Amitabh both were hit it off very well.

'Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna' also stars Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta and Abhishek Bachchan in the leads. And it's 50% of shooting has been complete, which has been shot exclusively in US and the shooting of remaining portion was held due to Amitabh's sudden ill health, however now started. And as per reports, Mr. Bachchan sounded very excited to be back at work.

Aishwarya may step in Kareena's shoes!

Here's a chance for Bollywood queen Aishwarya Rai to step in Kareena Kapoor's shoes. As you know Kareena had already opted out of Harry Baweja's sci-fi flick 'Love Story 2050', but as per latest producer-director Harry Baweja has yet not gotten the right replacement for the role. There's report that Harry had approached Priyanka Chopra for the role, but much to shock Priyanka also has turned down the offer stating her dates problem.

And Harry Baweja, so much adamant on giving his son Harman Baweja, who is making his debut in this film, a huge intrusion into the Bollywood has offered the role to Aishwarya Rai. Though Aishwarya has yet not given her nod to Baweja, but close sources saying Aishwarya may do the role for the only reason Priyanka Chopra's refused the role. Earlier in many films Priyanka has been roped in as the replacement of Aishwarya, now there will be a vice a versa. After all history will have all records in its store. Right!

"My relation with Aishwarya is a case of misinterpretation of good friendship and it is not new for the industry. It is happening with all actors. You work with an actress in one film and people start linking you with her. The moment you sign another film with someone else, you become the heartthrob of some other woman. I don't think I am answerable or need to clarify because the more you do, people draw different meaning from it. I agree that whatever actors do is in the public domain and so they become subject to public scrutiny. But I also believe that there are certain things, which should remain personal. Sometimes, it becomes unpleasant when people link up two co-stars without checking facts and truth," says Abhishek.

Rumours about Abhishek-Ash link-up reached such an extent that inside sources claimed that the two families even met and considered the 'rishta' (alliance) between both stars. So, does it bother Chota B when media haunts his personal life? "I have learnt to live with it because this is part of my stardom. Now, I don't bother much about it. I have got used to it now. I don't take such things personally. I know my heart is clear and there is nothing I am hiding. So, it doesn't really affects when I know I am honest and know what the truth is," he says.

On being asked how his co-stars behave with him when they hear such rumors, he says, "They know the truth and are very normal and cool about it."

Hrithik Roshan, Aishwariya to star in Gowarikar's next movie

Lucknow, March 20. (PTI): After successful ventures like Lagaan, Swades and Hulchal, 75-year-old noted playwright K P Saxena faces a new challenge as he pens dialogues of another ambitious project of Ashutosh Gowarikar -- "Jodha-Akbar", the love story of the Mughal Emperor and his Hindu wife, starring Hrithik Roshan and Aiswhariya Rai in lead roles.

Saxena's main aim is to strike a right mix of Urdu and Persian in the dialogues of the film so that it maintains the grandeur of the Mughal period and at the same time makes it easy for the present generation of viewers to understand, said Saxena who is known more as a leading Hindi writer with a special penchant for satire.

Both Hritihik Roshan and Aishwariya Rai have already promised bulk dates for the shooting, which could get underway in August this year.

"Though a science student, I had learnt both the languages (Urdu and Persian) in college days and had a fascination for the Mughal and Rajput era, which had found an outlet earlier in the six historical plays written by me on Mumtaz Mahal, Humayan earlier for All India Radio. But that was about 25 years ago," he said.

"Jodha-Akbar is, however, a challenge of a different kind. Besides it being a commercial project involving lots of money, it has to maintain the historical charm which could gel well with today's audience", he said.

The Director, who had done research on the subject visiting libraries in Rajasthan, Agra, Kolkata and other places compiling notes, has planned a three-and-half hour film.

Urmila planning marriage?

With all offbeat releases actress Urmila Matondkar has in last few years, and no big projects she is being signed up for now, the tinsel town suddenly went abuzz with the point that the 'Rangeela' gal has no more sizzling flame left in her and that Urmila has came to realize as well. The rumour also has it that Urmila is now planning to settle down and quit films like her contemporaries Raveena Tandon, Karishma Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit.

Sush opposite major Hollywood actor!

Sushmita Sen is acting in director Chandraprakash Diwedi's film is not a rumour any more. It is going to materialize soon as Dr. Chandraprakash Diwedi of 'Pinjar' fame has already finalized the former Miss Universe for playing a pivotal role in his next historical drama, however it's not 'Jhansi Ki Rani'.

As per latest the film will be on the great Emperor Ashoka, and Sushmita will play the Mauryan emperor's fifth wife.

As per source Sush has shown keen interest for playing the role and Dr. Diwedi also thinks, the role, no one else but only Sushmita can play.
Dr. Diwedi is now totally concentrated on 'Prithviraj-Sanjukta', which will have Sunny Deol, and of course 'Ashoka' which will star a major Hollywood actor besides Sushmita Sen. However the name, who will play the role has not finalized yet. Keep tuned to this space, we will let you know very soon.  

Know the culprit causing Salman to get into troubles!

Before you get into any confusion, better let us make it clear that the culprit is not a person but a number. Ace astrologer Bejan Daruwala thinks the number 8 and 4 have been singularly unlucky for Salman and cause for all his woes. From allegedly killing black buck, mowing down people with his Land Cruiser, allegedly threatening Vivek Oberoi, thrashing his ex flame Aishwarya Rai, to the more recent tapes allegedly pointing at his connection with Dawood Ibrahim, it's that number plays the spoil-shot actually.

According to Daruwala, it's all in the number. On asked he elaborated, "His misfortune started when a complaint was lodged at Mathiana (8) police station against him and Satish Shah (4) and other eight (8) co-accused for killing a black buck on September 28 (8). In 2002 (4) Salman's girlfriend Aishwarya Rai also broke up with him to befriend Vivek Oberoi (8). In the same year he allegedly killed a sleeping person with his Land Cruiser (addition of name comes to 8). And hold your breath, the phonetic name of Dawood Ibrahim is also 8! As if this is not all, Salman has submitted his voice samples to the cops on 17.7.2005, adding to 8 and 4!" We are sure all angers of Salman's fans now on the number 8 and 4, right! What a mess!

How strange it may sound, Bollywood king Shah Rukh Khan does everything from reading scripts to making important calls in bathroom. Shah Rukh says it's his personal space and almost like his mini office.

If you ask him why he used bathroom for doing all these things? Shah Rukh has ready answer, "It's the only part of the house that is peaceful and not noisy."

However his habits of spending lots of time in bathroom irritates his wife Gauri Khan, who often fight over it with her dearest hubby.  

Salman to take off!

Bollywood star Salman Khan accompanied by co-stars John Abraham, Zayed Khan, Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Esha Deol and Mallika Sherawat will soon be flying off for a world tour titled Rockstar. During the trip, the Bollywood stars will perform in a number of stage show in USA, Canada, UK and Europe.

As per reports Salman and his co-stars will be leaving the tinsel town in coming April itself.

"The preparations are all done. The choreography has been done; the skit has also been rehearsed quite a bit. SO we are all prepared. Now we have less than a month to polish our pieces. But if they do put us on stage today, we are prepared to do our best," informed Salman yesterday while talking to us.

Sure the Bollywood stars will rock the foreign shores with their sizzling performance.

Shimit's Shah Rukh-starrer shelved?

The latest buzz in the industry is that Shimit 'Ab Tak Chappan' Amin's latest project starring Shahrukh Khan in the lead and produced by Yashraj films has been shelved. A trade magazine even reported the reason being that the basic concept of the film was disapproved by both the director and the superstar.
We spoke to Tarun Tripathi from Yashraj films about this. "You know at Yashraj we are quite secretive about our films but as far as I know Shimit is still working on his film and it has not been shelved" is what Tarun had to say. That should set the record straight.

It may be recalled that after 'Ab Tak Chappan', Shimit Amin's second film was to be the Ram Gopal Varma-produced 'Let's Kill Veerappan' but that film was subsequently shelved after the death of the bandit.

Being Cyrus is an experiment, says Saif

Saif Ali Khan dons an entirely different hat in debutant director Homi Adajania抯 English film Being Cyrus, which releases next week. The actor spoke to HT City on the film.

Is Cyrus the most difficult role you have played so far?
Every job is difficult if you don抰 put in your best or if you are not enjoying it. I won抰 say that the role was the most difficult one but it was quite challenging. It抯 an unusual role. I feel I抳e moved to a different level as an actor.

Having a director like Homi around, it was not difficult at all. He made things simpler as he was very focused and we enjoyed while working, which was the best part about it. Although it抯 his first film, he knew exactly what he wanted from all of us.

The connectivity does not come from age - of course it抯 an advantage - but the one of the main factors is how comfortable you are with your director and
how well you understand each other.

We are told you are the protagonist. Does your character have many shades?
My character is a guy called Cyrus and he seems to have a deep interest in pottery - one who seems perfectly normal and quite charming, but is slightly intriguing and quite dangerous because of how innocuous he seems. Cyrus is an orphan who has learnt through experience and has a slightly unique take on life and isn抰 as affected with things as other people are - almost existentialist in that way. He has grown through this life from outside, which is actually a line from the script.

Is the movie about relationships? Could we say it is a bold film?
Being Cyrus is my first English film. It抯 a quality film. It抯 a bit of a thriller. It only took 20 of my shooting days and has been shot amazingly by cinematographer Jehengir Chowdhary. It should be evaluated in its own space. It is on relationships but it抯 not just on Dimple (Kapadia) and me. It is a bold subject but not sleazy or a horror film.
Subjects like this are hardly tried nowadays. What do you think of the film抯 prospects?
Subjects like those in Being Cyrus have never been tried in Indian cinema. It抯 an experiment and hopefully the audiences will like it. I always feel cinema should be slightly disturbing or affect you in some way and make you think, which Being Cyrus certainly does.

Working with seniors like Naseeruddin Shah and Dimple Kapadia must have been a great experience
