X Japan’s Yoshiki to appear at Anime Central
Posted on May 2, 2011 by tokyograph
The Anime Central convention revealed on Sunday that X Japan leader Yoshiki is attending this year as a guest. The announcement is not clear about whether he will perform as a musical guest or be there for other reasons, though it does mention that he will be showing a “special video for his fans” at his scheduled panel.
At last year’s New York Anime Festival/New York Comic Con, Yoshiki and American comic creator Stan Lee revealed that they are collaborating on a “music superhero comic book” based on Yoshiki. Based on Anime Central’s announcement, it appears that Yoshiki’s planned video is related to the comic book project.
Anime Central is being held in Rosemont, Illinois, on May 20-22.
Thanks sebab keep on updating thread pasal X Japan, sekarang i dah tua dah, dah tak fanatic X Japan macam dulu, tapi the blue blood still runs in my veins.
Saya ada banyak lagu2 X Japan including all albums solo Hide, Pata, Heath, Taiji dan Toshi.
anyway jugak, kalau pergi youtube search lah SLAPSHOCKED , itu band saya.... jamming/cover lagu X Japan time dulu2... hehe

The project was first announced last October at the New York Anime Festival/New York Comic Con, where both Yoshiki and Stan Lee together revealed the news. X Japan adds Asia to world tour, plans second Europe tour
Rock band X Japan is currently in Europe for the first part of its world tour. While the group was in Paris, they held a press conference at the Japan Expo taking place this weekend, where leader Yoshiki announced that the band has added Asia to its world tour.
At the moment, they have decided on 6 concerts in October and November – Shanghai, Beijing, Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Thailand. This will be considered their first actual tour in Asia. Dates and details have not yet been announced, but more information should be available in the near future.
Yoshiki also declared that the band plans to do a bigger Europe tour in 2012. The group is still working out the details for that tour. During the question portion of the press conference, a fan from Russia asked about the possibility of a concert there, and Yoshiki promised, “I love caviar, so we will go to Russia.”
X Japan started their world tour in London on June 28, followed by Paris on July 1. They will continue on to Utrecht on July 2 and Berlin on July 4. In August, they will play two concerts in Osaka and Tokyo, and then they will resume their world tour with concerts in Santiago, Sao Paulo, Buenos Aires, Lima, and Mexico City in September.
X Japan cancels Beijing concert
Posted on October 25, 2011 by tokyograph
Rock band X Japan has canceled their Beijing concert, which was scheduled to be held on November 2nd. This would have been the group’s first concert in that city.
Although X Japan successfully obtained approval for the concert from China’s government, the band’s agency said that they made the decision to cancel the show based on the judgment of the local promotional company. It appears that there were some problems with the technology and the production work necessary for the concert.
X Japan is set to embark on their Asia tour from October 28th to November 8th. Besides Beijing, the band currently plans to proceed with their other scheduled concerts in Seoul, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Taipei, and Bangkok.
Rockers X Japan kicked off their first ever Asian tour on Friday, playing to 10,000 fans at the Seoul Olympic Gymnasium in South Korea. The venue was to host the band in March 2009, but that show had to be called off due to their legal battle with management. Band leader Yoshiki said, "It has been our dream to come here for a long time. (The late) Hide and Taiji also shared that dream." The 10-song set included recent releases such as "Jade" and "Born to be Free" as well as standards like "Endless Rain." As usual Yoshiki knew how to give fans that extra thrill, performing the folk song "Arirang," sometimes considered the unofficial Korean national anthem, and dressing up in a pink traditional chima chogori.
Famous for their history of calamities and ruined plans, X Japan have already seen their share on this latest tour. A show scheduled for November 2 in Beijing was cancelled due to technical and production problems. And Yoshiki also managed to add a bit of unplanned drama to the Seoul show by badly injuring his finger on a cymbal. Nonetheless the tour headed to Shanghai on Sunday for its first concert on Chinese soil. This time around, Yoshiki played a Chinese folk tune, donned a red China doll dress and brought a stuffed panda on stage. Next up is Asia World-Expo in Hong Kong on November 4, followed by shows the same week in Taiwan and Thailand.

X Japan’s Yoshiki has been chosen to compose the theme song for the 2012 Golden Globe Awards show, which will take place on January 15 in Beverly Hills, California. The Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced the news on Thursday.

In November, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association gave Yoshiki an offer to compose the show’s theme song.
The president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association explained, “Yoshiki is a world-renowned musician and composer of enormous talent and versatility, who in addition to being a rock superstar has composed for film and television. As an international organization dedicated to creative achievements, the HFPA is delighted to have a global musical artist of Yoshiki’s stature create the theme for the show.”
