Terengganuclimbed to second place of the Malaysian Super League after an earlystrike by Brazillian striker Gleisson Freire became the only differentbetween them and home team Perlis. The lanky striker抯 strike was hissecond goal in as many matches, having scored the equaliser againstKedah last week. It was a good finish to a good move and a few more ofthat would see him climbing up the goal-scoring charts.
Withouta win in two previous away matches, Terengganu were eager to turnthings around. With the Utama Stadium being a formidable fortress tothe Northern Lions, Terengganu had to fight for every inch to win thismatch. Despite taking the lead early in the previous two away matches,Terengganu were unable to hold on to the lead. Thus, there were a lotof nail-biting among the black and white
supporters before referee Krishnan blew the final whistle.


Itwas a physical match with both teams sharing the number of cards dishedout by the man in the middle. On a sad note, Terengganu Brazillianmidfielder Jocian Bento Dos Anjos had to be stretchered off after ahard tackle from a Perlis player. The extent of the injury is not yetknown but many fans are hoping that he would be fit for the trip toKuantan.


Thewin also saw Terengganu keeping their first clean-sheet of the seasonaway from home. The defensive partnership of skipper Mohd Marzuki Yusofand Brazillian defender Fabio Flor managed to thwart everything thehome side threw at them to ensure Mohd Sharbinee Allawee抯 goalremained intact for the whole duration of the match.


Thewin saw Terengganu moved a place to second behind Kedah on the tablewho slayed the Red Giants 6-2 at the nearby Darul Aman Stadium in AlorSetar. Both teams have the same goal difference but Kedah are on topdue to scoring two more goals than the Turtles.


Itwas good to get the first win on the road and Terengganu fans arehoping that Yunus Alif抯 players would be able to sudtain this momentumagainst Pahang at the Darul Makmur Stadium on the first day of 2008.

Ok mari mukah kalo fred royak lah. Poli mukah lawo wey aku....

esok lwn pahang kt kuantan. Patutnya trg home tp stediom guna utk smbutan KT jd bndaraya..jd alih ke pahang. 5 ex player ganu main pahang lening.
