barca fire barcaland I recognise a lot the posters names like TJ Madrid etc. I know you guys are fierce rivals when we are talking about the league and it is extremely heart warming that the TRUE spanish la liga supporters despite club allegiance have come out and stated their support for barcelona. I know all year around we bicker and critisize but if the club players/president/manager could come out and emphatically state their support because they recognise the biiger picture here, that is great. This is about re-asserting national pride in Spanish football.. this is not about catalunya vs madrid.. this is about Spain..all the players in spains from la liga to the third division...thank you for the support.. just wish some of my dumb friends here would forget about the la liga rivalry and remember this is spain against the world!

Real Madrid coach Bernd Schuster was delightedfor Javier Saviola after his goal scoring performance in last night's3-0 victory over Athletic Bilbao.
The Argentina international was handed a rarestart by Schuster and repaid the German's faith with the opening goaland an impressive 90-minute performance for Real.
Schuster said afterwards: "It was the right timeto give Javier the chance to play, because he deserved it. We've hadhim warming up in the second-half of games to play, but somethingalways would happen and we could not put him on.
"Seeing how he was training, this opportunity was deserved and I am very happy for him."
