About new Spring Dorama...
Takuya spoke a little about the new drama role.
According to him, he is not a racing car driver as in F-1 etc, but a test driver for racing cars. He said that he was asking the production side to let him practice on the circuit several times before the shoot started. He promised that this time he would accept the professional adviser's judgement whether he should do a certain circuit scene himself or not and not insist on doing everything, as it might mean his life if he persisted.
Apparently, his Pride body double left the set quite early, having so little to do and getting homesick.
He thought the ratio of the job-related bits to the main story might be about 3.5 to 10.
The tentative title is "Engine" but it is subject to change.

Lead actress confirmed!
The new golden-time slot spring dorama about car-racing has finally found its leading lady! News has it that Last Samurai star and the lead actress for last year's hit dorama Boku to Kanojo to Kanojo no Ikiru Michi, Koyuki, will co-star with Kimura Takuya in the dorama with a temporary title, "Engine". The dorama will air in April on Fuji TV's premier slot on Monday, and will be helmed by the team that brought success, intrigue and suspense to the hit medical dorama, Shiroi Kyoto. |
