Roberto Carlos: I'll Retire In Three Years To Become A Coach
Former Real Madrid left-back Roberto Carlos has stated that he has no intention of retiring this season, despite being 35 years of age...
The Brazilian, who plays his club football for Fenerbah鏴, was in Sao Paulo yeterday to discuss his future at a press conference.
He said, "I have two more years of contract with Fenerbah鏴, and I want to keep on playing for two or three more years. I haven't even thought about retiring.
"I will do so within three years, and then I will become a coach."
Carlos, while happy in Istanbul, did not rule out leaving at the end of next season in favour of Palmeiras, the side with whom he made his breakthrough before joining Inter in 1995.
For the time being, though, he's pleased to be in good enough condition.
"I'm still prepared physically and psychologically so that I can continue playing at the top level," he said.
Carlos will not feature in the run-in of the Turkish season due to injury. The Yellow Canaries are three points off the lead with two games remaining.
