Korean Artists BEAST, 2AM, G.NA Cover Fukuyama Masaharu’s Hit Songs
It’s been revealed that Korean artists have covered several of Fukuyama Masaharu’s hit songs for a tribute album called ‘With Special Guests -Fukuyama Masaharu Remake-’ which will be released in 6 Asian countries on March 30 (April 20 for Korea only).
8 artists participated in this work, including BEAST, the 6-member male group who will be releasing their Japan debut single “SHOCK” on March 16, their labelmate and female singer G.NA, and the 4-member vocal group 2AM who won a music award for Digital Music Daesang last year in Korea (GOLDEN DISK AWARDS). Each and every member present are established for their strong vocals and thus there is much interest in how well it will all come out.
Furthermore, there will also be a new version of Fukuyama’s best album ‘THE BEST BANG!!’ that came out in Korea last year, and it will have an additional bonus disc (-ASIA LIMITED BANG!!-) that will be included for release on March 30. Since this will be a limited version, those who are interested should pre-order it quickly!

- We heard that you are really close to a lot of sunbae and hoobae singers.
“I have gotten a lot of news known about myself due to the pictures that I had posted on twitter a while ago. I am pretty close with Secret members, G.NA, Mighty Mouth, and Kim Taewoo oppa. This is true for 4minute’s Hyunah and BEAST’s Yong Junhyung who had featured in my albums as well.”
- Aren’t their many fans that are jealous of your close relationship with male idols?
“Of course. I have heard some negative comments. I was just trying to be nice to BEAST’s Junhyung and F.T Island’s Hongki because they are younger than me, but I was put in an awkward situation when fans started asking me, ‘Why are you messing with younger guys?’”
BEAST places 3rd in the Japan DVD Oricon Chart suppressing GD&TOP

Along with their official debut in Japan coming up, the male group BEAST is currently showing off their popularity at the top.
According to the Japan Oricon DVD chart data collected from March 2nd, BEAST had won over GD&TOP and placed in third.
In particular, since BEAST had not officially debuted in Japan, their success without any promotions is predicting for more success to come after their debut in Japan.
The BEAST DVD that was released contained the debuting process of BEAST along with commentary and interview from the members and music videos of their songs.
Meanwhile, BEAST will be revealing their first Japanese single titled, ‘SHOCK’ on March 16th and will start their activities. BEAST, who had successfully completed their first showcase in Japan, stated at a press conference, “We will be going towards the Japanese people with amazing music and performance.”

Group BEAST’s activities in Japan have become even bigger.
On March 2nd, BEAST’s DVD rose to first spot on the charts of Japan’s largest music store, Tower Trade. This DVD which reached the top as soon as it was released, is holding the first spot for two weeks now. The enthusiasm and fervor of Japanese fans were confirmed after the DVD even grabbed the third spot on the Oricon charts on the 2nd of this month.
On February 16th, BEAST first released their Japanese version of the single in Japan. Through this single, BEAST opened fire to full-fledged Japanese activities. With the DVD, BEAST has exceeded expectations on various charts and it is anticipated that fervor will increase with a single that will be released soon. BEAST released their single in time to cross over to Japan and start single promotional activities.
BEAST’s company, CUBE Entertainment officials stated, “Through the last showcase, the members have gained confidence in participating in Japnaese activities” and “They are becoming increasily fluent in Japanese and they hope to meet the Japanese fans soon with a good image.” /Sports Korea

B2ST to hold their first fan meet + fanclub inauguration
For the first time since their debut, B2ST will hold a fan meeting on April 2nd at Koryeo University. It’s a particularly special event because it’ll also host the inauguration ceremony for their fanclub, “B2UTY“!
Currently, their fanclub has 180,000 official members. 5,000 of those lucky fans will get to meet with the boys as they celebrate their mutual growth.
A variety of events are being planned that allow for direct communication between the boys and their fans. Though they’re preparing for their official Japanese promotions for “SHOCK“, it’s said that the members are carefully crafting ideas for the event.

CNBLUE’s Yonghwa resigns as “Inkigayo” MC, IU & B2ST’s Kikwang to take his place
For eight months, CNBLUE’s Jung Yonghwa has been MCing alongside 2AM’s Jo Kwon and f(x)’sSulli for SBS’s “Inkigayo“. The star has decided that it’s time for him to retire his ‘Inkigayo’ mic, and he plans to bid farewell to viewers during this week’s episode.
will be hosting his last episode on March 13th. He decided to end his ‘Inkigayo’ career because his schedule was becoming too packed; Yonghwa will not only be preparing for CNBLUE’s upcoming promotions, but he will also be filming for MBC’s new drama, “Festival“. He also has to film for MBC’s “We Got Married.”
The sunny MC will be replaced by not just one, but two MCs. “Inkigayo” will be introducing IU andB2ST’s Kikwang to MC alongside Jo Kwon and Sulli for future episodes.
A SBS representative spoke through Star News and revealed, “There will now be four MCs. Lee Kikwang is known for his talented MCing skills amongst the other idols, and we expect him to create a synergy effect alongside Jo Kwon.”Regarding IU, he continued, “IU is one of the representative female idols alongside Sulli. We’re looking forward to the skills she’ll show off as MC.”The new team will greet viewers on the March 20th Inkigayo episode.
