Le Mans ace in Arsenal plea
IVORY COAST star Gervinho has issued a ‘come-and-get-me’ plea to Arsenal.
The Le Mans starlet, 21, has revealed he is desperate to join his international team mates Kolo Toure and Emmanuel Eboue in North London and is determined to catch the eye of Gunners boss Arsene Wenger.
Gervinho said: "I have dreamed about that club. To play for Arsenal will be the best day of my life and I will do anything to play for that team.
“But it will depend on my good work for Le Mans. I need to keep working and Arsenal will open the door for me.”
The Gunners were linked with a move for the gifted striker earlier this summer, but their interest appeared to have cooled following the good pre-season form of Mexican wonderkid Carlos Vela.
But Gervinho remains keen on a move to the Emirates Stadium, and cited Wenger’s faith in developing young players as the main reason behind him wanting to play for the club.
He added: "It is their game, the freedom the manager give them to express their qualities.
"They are all young players and out of all the top European clubs they are the only ones who work like this. I really love that."

Senderos for Milan
Milan's pursuit of defensive reinforcements has prompted a surprise move for the Arsenal centre-half Philippe Senderos and pending medical results he is set to complete a year-long loan move to San Siro with a view to a long-term transfer. The Swiss has been inconsistent since signing from Servette in December 2002 but was impressive against the Rossoneri in last season's Champions League. Milan have lost Alessandro Nesta to injury, have sold Dario Simic and Digao, and failed to sign Branislav Ivanovic from Chelsea this month. But Arsenal signed Mika雔 Silvestre from Manchester United last week, paving the way for Senderos to follow Mathieu Flamini to Milan.

Senderos may not return to Arsenal
Philippe Senderos may have played his last game for Arsenal Football Club.
The Swiss international has joined AC Milan on loan for the season, and Arsene Wenger admits the 23-year-old’s move to the Serie A giants could be made permanent next summer.
"Senderos has gone to Milan today and is not available anymore," Wenger told Sky Sports. "The thinking [behind the move] is that at the moment he doesn't get the games here.
“He can play somewhere and remain in a top level club. Without losing him we want him to play. It (whether the transfer will become permanent) is not decided yet.
"For us, we have Johan Djourou, Kolo Toure, Senderos, Alexandre Song, William Gallas and Mikael Silvestre, who can play centre-back, so there is congestion there." |
