In a few weeks, you shall discover the one hundred most beautiful Filipina of 2006. From people's nomination through a blog post in Starmometer.com, we shall select the 100 beautiful Filipina. In order to rank them, we will cut the 100 into half---the first 50 is the most nominated. We will then rank the remaining 50 from 51st position to the 100th position according to their popularity, visibility and beauty of course. The Top 50 will then be ranked through a people's choice poll that will run in Starmometer.com for one month. From the result of the poll, we will rank the top 1 to 50 most beautiful Filipina.
Starting July 25, the one hundred most beautiful Filipina will be posted in reversed order starting position 100 to 1, with one entry a day until the complete 100 is revealed.

Maria Lourdes Grace Basabas, or Lougee as she is fondly called, has been appearing in print ads and TV commercials since the age of 14. Her most recent ads include Mitsubishi, Pepsi, Jollibee, and Ayala Malls. Just turned 20, Lougee is a Junior at Assumption College majoring in Mass Communications.

She was one of the ten semi-finalists in the controversial pageant won by 18 year old Mrs. Russia. Later on, she placed 1st runner-up to another beauty pageant for married women---the Mrs. Globe pageant. Like wine, this 27-year-old computer science graduate from Centro Escolar University gets even more beautiful as time goes by. By the way, her last name is now Cabel.

Lucy Marie Torres-Gomez breakthrough to fame was when she appeared in a shampoo series of commercials co-starring with Richard Gomez who eventually asked her hand in marriage in real life. Lucy is definitely one of the country's most beautiful faces and still an a-list product endorser. Her current tv gig is hosting ABC 5's "Shall We Dance".

Twenty-three-year-old Gaby dela Merced, who is surprisingly petite for a race-car driver, is one of the most prolific competitors in the Asian Formula 3 circuit.

I was lucky enough that after the first VTR, I got to do a series of commercials meaning that with one contract I did four commercials already. That was for Extraderm," Phoem (as her friends fondly call her) recalls. "After that, I started doing a lot of ramp and the rest is history."
