Sa launching ng bagong endorsement ni John Lloyd Cruz, nagkaroon ng chance ang PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) na matanong ang tungkol sa kumakalat na balita na nagdadalantao ang non-showbiz girlfriend niya na si Liz Uy. Ayon pa nga sa balita ay kambal daw ang ipinagbubuntis ni Liz.
"Actually, we're having triplets," pabirong sagot ng 23-year-old actor. Inamin ni John Lloyd na medyo na-upset siya nang unang makarating sa kanya ang nasabing tsismis. "When I first heard about it, sabi ko sa sarili ko, 慉no ba naman 'to?' Kung kailan pa naman I'm very happy and contented with my personal life, tapos okay ang ratings ng Maging Sino Ka Man, saka pa nagkaroon ng isyung ganito," sabi ni John Lloyd.
"So naisip ko, may naninira. Until somebody told me, si Kuya Jobar [Joe Barrameda, former PMPC president] na hindi paninira 憏on. Kasi nga lalaki raw ako, so natural lang na magkaroon ng ganung intriga. And since hindi naman totoo, hinayaan ko na lang," paglalahad pa niya. Mabuti na lang daw at hindi pinatulan ng pamilya ni Liz ang isyu. Kasama raw ni Liz ang pamilya niya nang mabasa nila ang tungkol sa isyu at natawa na lang daw ang mga ito.
Puring-puri nga ni John Lloyd ang pamilya ni Liz at ipinagmalaki pa niya na tanggap ng mga ito ang relasyon nila. "Sobrang bait ng family ni Liz. Iba yung openness na nag-e-exist sa family nila. Na kahit sinong lumapit sa anak nila, matatanggap nila," pagmamalaki pa ng young actor.
Paano niya ide-describe ang relasyon nila ni Liz?

Sa tanong ng PEP kung hindi ba siya nagwo-worry na baka makaapekto sa loveteam nila ni Bea Alonzo ang relasyon nila ni Liz ay ito ang isinagot ni John Lloyd: "Hindi naman kasi ever since, like when I was with Ciara [Sotto, his ex-girlfriend], open naman kami sa relationship namin. But still, kinagat yung team up namin ni Bea. In fact, tumagal pa siya until now. Napatunayan naman namin na mahal kami ng fans, na maraming nagmamahal sa amin. So I don't think nagku-cause ng problema yung nangyayari sa personal lives namin."
Aminado rin si John Lloyd na until now ay hindi siya kumportableng pag-usapan ang lovelife nila ni Liz. "Anything personal naman makes me feel uncomfortable, lalo na we're talking about a private person. Masarap sana to tell the whole world about it but there will be consequences. At yun ang iniiwasan ko," sabi niya. "Sobrang laki ng naitulong ni Liz sa akin, introspectively and lahat na. Because of her, nabago ang outlook ko sa buhay. Naging liberated ang understanding and appreciation ko sa fashion," pagmamalaki pa ni John Lloyd kay Liz, na associate fashion editor ng Preview magazine.
"Kaya kung ano mang pag-iingat ang puwede kong gawin with what we have, I want to give it to her. Ako naman kung hanggang saan ang kaya kong gawin at hangga't kaya ko, gagawin ko, that's what I compromise," patuloy niya.
Lastly, gaano na sila katagal at paano nila planong i-celebrate ang Valentine's Day?
"We've been going out for about a year. Well, sana magkaroon kami ng time to spend together sa Valentine. Pareho rin kasi kaming busy," pagtatapos niya.
