Si James ang may asawa at hindi si Hope. I feel sorry for Hope. I feel she is a victim of the sad, sad state of mind of most Filipino men - that having a wife and a string of other girls on the side is ok and normal and in fact makes one look more "macho" and "cool". Women on the other hand turn a blind eye on it - "basta sayo umuuwi sa gabi ok lang". It's a cultural trait. And it's sad because at the end of the day, the basic unit of the community - the family - suffers. Hence, wala na talagang asenso ang Pilipinas. I'm sure Ninoy is turning over his grave. ~annasophia~

LOVE TRIANGLE:  'HOPE'  SAYS  SORRY  TO  KRIS

MANILA, FEBRUARY 25, 2007 (STAR) By Ricky Lo - Monica Lewinsky would have yawned in total boredom if she watched the GMA show Startalk yesterday.

The whole gossip-hungry archipelago must have been all ears as the woman named "Hope," said to be the other woman in the widely followed real-life love triangle involving Kris Aquino and husband James Yap that has become a sensational spectator sport.

Because of "leaks" prior to the much-awaited TV confession of Hope, everybody expected the former receptionist of a popular beauty clinic to spill more juicy details than those she reportedly told Startalk co-host Lolit Solis who did the interview, complete with accounts of her (Hope抯) alleged trysts with James inside the cubicle where James had his facial and scrubs once a week ("Every Monday," said Hope).

In the off-cam interview, Hope gave the impression that she knew James so intimately that she said they even had pet nicknames for each other. She called him Big Bird; he called her Hopia.

But in yesterday抯 edition of Startalk which showed only portions of Hope抯 face or blurred when her whole face was shown fleetingly, Hopia disappointed the "voyeurs" by not talking any more about her alleged sexually charged encounters with Big Bird but only about how they met, how she fell for him and how they managed to carry on an a cubicle-confined affair that lasted for 11 months, starting in March last year and ending middle of last month when she was asked to resign by the beauty clinic due to "conduct unbecoming."

Other employees of the beauty clinic said that Hope was not supposed to enter any cubicle because there were two other girls, a facial lift and a scrubber, who attended to James regularly. Hope had been warned about it several times.

She has said sorry to Kris and assured Kris that she was not out to destroy Kris

On the afternoon of February 22, Thursday, PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) received information that Kris Aquino was brought to the Makati Medical Center because of "complications due to pregnancy."
Kris is seven months pregnant with her second child and her first baby with husband James Yap, a Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) cager. Her first child, Joshua, was fathered by Phillip Salvador, an actor.
JAMES JUNIOR. "James was at his [basketball] practice, and then noong umuwi dito, nakita niya na masamang-masama ang kundisyon ko. Nahihirapan siyang gisingin ako, and dinala na ako sa ospital," said Kris in a tell-all interview with Korina Sanchez for The Buzz and Rated K yesterday, February 25.
She explained, "慪ong blood sugar ko, sumobrang nag-shoot-up. Sobrang tumaas talaga and that is very dangerous to anybody pregnant... Nagkaroon na ako ng premature labor pains.
"I'm entering my 28th week pa lang, and nung nag-ultrasound kami, the baby is less that two pounds at this point. Payat daw 憏ong baby. Hindi sa inaasahang timbang. So, ang sinasabi nila is dangerous talaga kasi hindi mo alam kung ngayon, kung manganak ako, kung mabubuhay ba 憏ong bata o hindi."
Kris and James plan to name their firstborn James Yap, Jr.
"For the remainder of my pregnancy, for the next nine or ten weeks, closely monitored talaga. Hindi ako magtatapang-tapangan na okay ako kasi hindi naman talaga ako okay," she remarked.
EMOTIONAL STRESS. The TV host-actress explained that the recent issues surrounding her and her husband have triggered her emotional stress, which she said, also caused her premature labor pains.
Kris revealed, "Kasi hindi naman po isang linggo o dalawang linggo lang ito e. It's been a month."

"Hindi kaila sa mga tao kung ano pinagdaanan namin in the past few weeks, lalong-lalo na this week. Very few people knew what we were really going through, 憏ong dalawang Ate ko, Ballsy and Pinky; ang manager ko, si Deo Endrinal; a few of my closest friends. For almost everybody else, shielded sila," said Kris.
She continued, "Noong sinamahan namin si Noy sa Commission on Elections (Comelec), problemado na kami noon, pero it was a commitment. It was a commitment to my brother. And at that point, even noong nag-birthday ako sa The Buzz, hindi alam ng Mom ko kung ano 憏ong problemang pinagdadaanan namin." Kris's brother, Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino, Jr. is running for senator this coming elections.
"We tried to put up a brave front. Alam mo 憏on, na 'pag haharap ka sa camera, 'pag haharap ka sa publiko, hindi mo ipapahalata kung ano 憏ong dinadala mo. Pero siyempre, 'pag kami na lang dalawa dito sa bahay, sobrang hirap... I tried to be strong and to feel strong, but noong Thursday, bumigay na ako," Kris admitted.
A MESSAGE TO HOPE. In Hope's Startalk interview that aired last Saturday, February 24, Hope asked Kris for forgiveness, saying that she didn't mean to hurt Kris. Hope defended herself by saying that she simply fell in love and that she never planned to destroy Kris's family. "Wag n'yo akong husgahan," she said.
The seven-month pregnant Kris retaliated, "How dare you say sorry to me now? Na umibig ka lang? May lakas ka ng loob na humarap sa TV at magsasabi ka talaga na wala kang masamang intensiyon. Unang una, nagtangka ka nang mang-agaw ng asawa, hindi pa ba masama 憏on?
"Pangalawa, kinalimutan mo, I am seven months pregnant. She continued, "Parang ang feeling ko, na magsasalita ka na ayaw mong makasira ng pamilya, unawain ka dahil nagmahal ka, okay. Sinasabi mo na ipinagtatanggol mo sarili mo.
"I-review natin 憏ong Buzz, I never mentioned Belo. I never mentioned another woman. Bakit ka [Hope] magsasalit ngayon? Dahil chinallenge ko? Ang chinallenge ko, ang sinabi ko, 慉ng bukod tanging makakasira at makaka-decide kung tapos na ang marriage na 'to, kaming dalawa, kasi kaming dalawa ang nasa marriage na ito.'
"Not once was there an insinuation of a venue, of a woman, of an affair. Klaro kami nung sinabi namin na may problema kami. Klaro si James nung sinabi niya na alam niyang nasaktan ako at may kasalanan siya, pero ni minsan hindi namin siya [Hope] binanggit.
"So ngayon bino-volunteer mo ang sarili mo [Hope], kung anu-ano ang sinasabi mo, hindi ba klaro 憏on na gusto mo talaga manira sa amin? Hindi ba klaro 憏on na gusto mo ako saktan?
"Nag-succeed ka na e. Nasaktan talaga ako."
Kris stressed, "Ang pinakamasakit, wala naman akong kasalanan in all this, kailangan kong humarap at kailangan kong magsalita. Ang ikinagagalit ko talaga, nilagay at risk ang buhay ng baby ko."
A MESSAGE TO GMA-7? Was the Kapamilya star trying to give a message to the Kapuso network for interviewing Hope?
Kris pointed out, "Actually and honestly, hindi ako sa kaniya galit. Galit ako sa mga taong nag-take advantage sa sitwasyon na to. Alam mo 憏ong it brought home the point talaga na just because na kakumpitensiya, ilang beses ba dapat akong i-crucify?"
She ended, "Alam mo 憏ong feeling na, kasalanan ko ba na successful ang mga programa ko na kailangan talagang wasakin n'yo ako para lang mapatunayan n'yo na kayo ang number one?"

For the fourth consecutive year, ang comedian na si Vic Sotto ang itinanghal na Box Office King ng Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation, Inc.(GMMSFI). Si Vic ang nakapagtala ng pinakamalakas na hatak sa takilya among the male stars noong 2006 dahil sa ipinakitang lakas ng kanyang Metro Manila Film Festival entry na Enteng Kabisote 3: Okay Ka Fairy Ko, The Legend Goes On...And On ng M-ZET Productions at OctoArts Films.

  

For the first time sa kasaysayan ng taunang Box Office Entertainment Awards ay dalawa ang itinanghal na Box Office Queens, sina Kris Aquino at Claudine Barretto dahil sa blockbuster horror flick na Sukob ng Star Cinema. Ginanap ang mahabang deliberation of winners kahapon, January 28, sa Dane Publishing House, Mindanao Avenue, Quezon City. James is faithful to Kris, says Vicky Belo

Vicki Belo, principal owner of the Belo Medical Group, on Friday said professional cager James Yap did not have an affair and has been faithful to his wife, Kris Aquino.

"It is really exciting to believe that something happened but there's really none and I hope, Kris, that you will realize that James has really been faithful. He has not done anything.  I hope you can patch up your differences," Belo told ABS-CBN's Magandang Umaga Pilipinas.

Belo dismissed allegations of her former receptionist, Hope Centeno, that she had a 10-month affair with Yap.
