LUNA THE HEIRESS
Synopsis
Luna The Heiress is a love story between Luna, a young woman from the coast, who is forced to abandon her home as a result of her mother's murder and, Mauricio Garc韆, a successful and passionate man seeking revenge for his past.
In the turmoil of his revenge desire, Mauricio finds out that Esteban Lombardo, his worst enemy, is interested in the lands belonging to Luna, to build a hotel compound, something that Luna would never allow.
Mauricio decides to support Luna's mother's negative to sell the land, without considering that Lombardo's interest was so strong that the woman ends up dead, for her refusal to sell. Luna finds herself alone and full of animosity against Mauricio, whom she blames for all the events that have occurred.
Luna arrives in the city hurt and deceived. She meets Rodrigo Lombardo, who falls deeply in love with her. However, the girl keeps a prudent distance with him, since her heart and mind are with Mauricio Garcia, fighting a love and hate battle.
Mauricio finds Luna in the city and wants to help her, but he discovers that she is having an affair with Rodrigo Lombardo, the son of his worst enemy, Esteban Lombardo, whom Mauricio holds responsible for the death of Luna's mother.
Thanks to the support of a designer with a woman's soul, Luna becomes a fashion model, and fostered, without her knowing it, by the man who has a place in her heart, but not her head, Mauricio Garcia, she is very successful in the fashion world, although she is always dreaming of going back home to find out who was responsible for her mother's death.
The love story between Luna and Mauricio has to face envy, manipulation, dissension and passions... the two characters debate between hate and a very strong love, surrounded by various characters that following their obscure interests, try very hard to keep them apart. |

Characters
She is 25 years old, very attractive and with great inner strength. Has a natural charm and poise that draws all attention to her. She was brought up on the beach, where her mother was able to provide her with a simple education, amidst of strong values such as honesty and solidarity. Despite the simplicity of their house on the beach, they never lacked anything. Luna grew up a happy and easy-going young girl, able to face everything.
The relationship with her mother was always very good and their ties got stronger after the father's death, when Luna was still a little girl. Luna is a very strong and enterprising young woman always coming-up with ideas to make a living. These conditions will help her when she arrives in the city and pretends she belongs to the high society. Her quick mind helps her to overcome difficulties while she is able to get a hold of the fine clothes she has to wear for the club.
Although she is flirty, she manages to keep her admirers within bounds. She dreams with a blue-blooded prince, but despite her desires, she falls for Mauricio, who is far from a prince and much less perfect.
He is 38 years old, enigmatic and mysterious. Has a penetrating look and is able to undress the personality of the person standing in front of him, in a matter of seconds. This mysterious halo is very attractive for the women around him, who usually fall for him. He is cynical and with a dark sense of humor, feared by his enemies.
Mauricio comes from a humble family, without economic solvency. Like Luna, he has also lacked a father, but with the difference that he never got to meet his before he died. When he was an adolescent he found out that his father was a wealthy man that never recognized him or his brothers. This gave origin to resentments in Mauricio that lead him to reach a very high goal he had set: to have a lot of money and power. He is a very competitive person and always bets on winning.
He has positioned very high in the business world and is feared by his rivals, for his clever strategies. His major competitor is Don Esteban, one of the most important entrepreneurs in the country, with whom he holds a personal battle and a pending issue.
Mauricio is a widower and there are rumors about his wife's strange death. He has a teen age daughter, whom he loves very deeply and overprotects, giving her everything she wants.
Regarding women, Mauricio is always surrounded by young models and second hand actresses, all transient relations. His only long term relation, although a hidden one, has been with Daniela, a relationship where each one is trying to take advantage of the other.
When he meets Luna he will find out that she is the woman of his life, but his arrogance, fears and jealousy will set them apart making difficult their happiness together.
She is a very attractive and sensual woman, despite she is not a young girl. She loves money, luxury and specially power. She wants to dominate everything around her. She is aware of her power over men and enjoys it. Her greatest ambition is to get a hold of Don Esteban's fortune, a cousin of one of her parents, already dead. To reach her goal she is determined to have her sister Paloma marry Rodrigo, Don Esteban's son.
Daniela has a strange relation with Mauricio. She knows that he is Don Esteban's worst enemy and that he wants to destroy him, but she helps him and is his ally. For Daniela the only thing that matters is to reach her goals and Mauricio is the man she wants to marry.
As a result of her alliance with Mauricio she's having a sort of love affair with doctor Mijares, whom she dominates and humiliates constantly. All this, with the purpose of maintaining an infiltrate in Don Esteban's businesses.
Daniela will be Luna's declared enemy and will do everything she can to get in her way, first to keep her away from Rodrigo and later, when Luna and Mauricio decide to be together.
He is 25 years old. His apparently irresponsible and care free young man fa鏰de, hides the lack of love he has always suffered. He is the son of Don Esteban Sotomayor, a millionaire that has given him everything he has asked for, except some time together. His mother died and Rodrigo feels lonely and out of place.
Rodrigo is highly depressive, constantly drinks and uses drugs. His life has no meaning. He has started several college courses and has not completed one. He only wants to party and have fun with his friends.
He enjoys extreme sports and has a marked self-destructive tendency. Deep inside he is searching for a real love and he thinks he has found that person in Luna. For such reason he is determined to make her love him, no matter what. But Daniela will get on his way, with her plans to match him with Paloma, to improve their financial situation.
On his sixties. He is a high class man and important entrepreneur. The only one capable of facing and competing against him is Mauricio. There is a declared war between them.
Despite his professional success his personal life is a failure. He has never been able to understand Rodrigo, his only son, who opposes his father's authoritarian ways.
He always wanted Rodrigo to enter to work with him, but understands that there is wall between them and that he was never capable of being a good father for his son. These thoughts mortify him deeply.
He will become Luna's ally and will see her as a real daughter in his efforts to build up with her the type of relationship he was never able to have with his own son Rodrigo. |
