I searched in the dark for the voice, and as I looked towards the place where I thought the voice came from, something strange happened.

**Sorry, this is not part of the story. I just want to make a comment. It seems that you guys are much much more creative than I am..lol

*FULL STORY*

The night was young. I picked up my book and continued to read when I heard...
my brilliant idea of hitting the man with the book vanished before my eyes.. my sister!
oh no! i just can't.. can't let her get close.. and just as i feared, i heard her little
footsteps getting nearer and nearer...
He cupped my mouth so hard and I bite. But he didn't budge. I was screaming but not even my little sister could hear my voice.

And at that moment, I know my sister would never find me.  
Blackness swirled. Next time, I opened my eyes, my heart stopped!  
"where am i? this is not my house!"

i looked around me frantically. i was in a room where there were no furniture except for old cardboards strewn everywhere.

i was all alone.  

"You should count your lucky star to still be able to have a chance
to know this is not your abode...ahahahah!" the raspy, bitter laugh
menacingly tickled my ears.  

I screamed. the man was back! i could not see his hideous face for it was covered in a mask.

"scream as loud as you can... no one can hear you here!!!" he laughed like a maniac.  


"Where's your husband? We need him to do a special job for us..."

parts of the lines from the book i read before i was kidnapped came into my mind..

no.. i scolded myself.. stay focus. i could not believe i could still refer to the situation at hand to some books that i have just read.

My hands were sweating, my knees were shaking.
I am not a part of his plan, why I should die?

Suddenly I felt so angry of what's happening to me. I kept thinking, "I don't deserve this...I don't deserve this... "  
I couldn't help but saying it out loud and screamed at the top of my voice, "Damn it, I'm not even a part of the plan, your stupid f***ing plan, why should I die!?? Leave me alone!! I don't have a husband and I don't know what you're looking for!!  

(Am I allowed to use the word f***ing? If not sorry)

He winked at me and laughed viciously.

He slowly came to me with his knife.
"Say your last wish now.." he said.

We struggled. He was bigger, but I managed to grabbed the knife. With both of my hands, I shakily aimed the knife to his heart.

"Now! Tell me what the hell is this all about...what was my dear 'hubby'
supposed to help you with? Spit it out!"

i fely my blood recoiled as i heard another man's voice from behind my back..

I turned around and saw a tall figure clad in a black cloak.  His face was half covered with a cowboy hat.  His cloak swayed around. I couldnt quite see his face.  But his voice sounded so familiar.  As if I'd heard in in my dreams.  Or was it a dream.

The figure slowly approached me.  For one second I it escaped my mind that I was in the middle of a struggle with a man who kidnapped me.  But I managed to knock him unconscious by just one blow across his face with the back of the knife handle which I'd snatched from him earlier.  Then I left him on the floor, face down.

I stood motionless.  Trying to figure out the owner of that familiar voice belonging to the dark tall figure whom was already standing in front of me.  Close enough that I could hear his breaths.  If only his face were visible...  

The tall dark figure suddenly laughed.  Harder and louder by the second.

The dark figure came closer and closer, looked at me and smirked.
I saw his face. It was ugly, with a deep scar on his left cheek. His teeth were crooked.

"My darling, can't you remember me?"

He said in those familiar voice.
