Ya ke boleh recur?  Can that part re-grow?  

God forbid!  Its already painful the first time round!    I can still remember the horrible pain when the stomach starts to kick back into action and the pain meds had worn off!  I had to suffer incessantly before the ward doctor gave me a jab in the butt to make the pain go away.

once ko nya appendix dah kene removed .....
mana leh dpt appencitis lg ....

kalau sakit2 perut, abdominal distension, muntah2, no bowel opening or takder kentut/flatus ...
probably dapat intertinal obstruction secondary to adhesion ....

kalau sakit2 biasa... maybe boleh jadi adhesion colic ....
sila wat abdominal X-ray ...
maybe lehh nampak dilated bowel ...

no need to re-grow to get recurrent appendicitis. I am not going to give a lecture on this, the hint is, try do appendectomy yourself and you will understand the cause to the problem. if you still dont, that will just explain why in another forum, people are so scared of seeing a doctor!!!

...once your appendix is removed...thats it...u would not get any recurrence at all...unless kalau the surgeon yang buat appendicectomy tu meninggalkan a substantial amout of appendix stump...tapi...this is not likely lah...

ni yang aku faham, "insiden appendicitis berulang adalah pada kadar 10%. diagnosis ini diterima jika pesakit telah melalui kejadian kesakitan RLQ yang sama pada masa yang berlainan iaitu, selepas appendectomy, terbukti secara histopathology berpunca dari appendix yang bengkak."

so ada 3 condition kat sini,
1) RLQ Pain selepas appendectomy
2) terbukti telah melalui appendectomy
3) terbukti berpunca dari appendix yang bengkak secara histopathology

...ok...my understanding is that this so called recurrent appendicitis is actually a result of an inflammed appendix...kenapa recurrent??...mungkin kerana the patient may have had previous episodes of mild appendicitis which then resolved after antibiotic therapy...and now...the patient is experiencing the same pain and symptom...so sebab itu dikatakan as recurrent appendicitis...and after appendectomy...the histopathogy confirmed that ianya memang berpunca daripada an inflammed appendix...

...dan bukan bermaksud yang setelah appendectomy dilakukan...pesakit tadi masih mengalami kesakitan pada RLQ...lantas di diagnose as having a recurrence...

you mean only 10% dari yang undergone antibiotic therapy akan dapat recurrent?
very effective antibiotic then...yang aku tahu even kalau guna cepha g4 pun only 80%
chance...meaning 20% potential recurrent...

believe it or not, recurrent memang berlaku even pada yang dah undergone appendectomy.

...so its due to the remaining of the appendix stump lerr nie...like what ive said before...if the surgeon tak do a proper job of resecting the appendix stump nie...then the possibility of it to be inflammed again is there...

belum check Dr la ttg kandungann ni tp br2 ni sy xleh lasak2.. selaku sakit belah kanan.. risau r nk g Dr.
btl ke usus blh melekat??
