Very interesting.............I hope all lessons can be made interesting. Goes to show that teachers do need to be creative . What a turning point that would create for many students! |

Living our life through our kids..
Why don't we take our own responsibilties for own life and stop this neverending process of living our life through our children, and they through their children, and so on and so on..
Easy for me to say. As I still have no kids. |

School, schooll, school, I wish that I could get back the mind state that I have at that time.
Anything is possible. And the semi permanent confident smile. ( I guess I could force this one). |

Quite true, Agul. Often times, just because we are more experienced we think we can help our children to short cut everything, perform well...........never thinking they still need to learn at their own time! You're still too young and available, Agul? Do you have to live your parent's life at times? |

Let's discuss what were your defining moments that made you stronger and wiser.
Otai2 mesti ada banyak pengalaman yang boleh dikongsi bersama.
when we migrated to overseas, when we got to proved ourselves for what we're worth and made off
it makes me a better person, that's for sure...when you are outside of ur familiar surrounding, you tends to be more tougher and wiser |

I am not sure. Everythings turn out good, though it could have been better. I have always got a better chance in my llife (that may seem on first sight). But i usually find another choice, go another way. That is good enough but not necessarily excellence. Like throwing out from American Degree Programme, without applying for other Universities, throwing out Ranhill scholarships award for studying in UK. just because i think it's more fun to studies engineering rather than accounting. And other strange decision I made in my life. Thinking back, I'm a bit troublesome in this manner. Wonder how they cope with my illogical action all these time...
My parents don't really dictate what I should do for a living. Maybe a bit more when i was younger. But they don't really force me into anything.
I guess, I should be grateful. I just wonder, what will i be doing now, if I follow my parents advice? At least I'm doing something that I like now. Pay is good, but not super.
It seems that my post is a bit contradictary with my previous post.
I don't know, maybe in the next few years I will wise up and have different ideas, belief and opinion.
I do remember always being scolded by my mum for not studying much... Well, it does me good.
Free, yes. not that young, not that old... Many of my friend just got their first babies this year. I can wait.
Still have certain thing to do before I 'll get married. |

In the old days our parents sent us away to boarding schools so that we may build our character. With so many news of unethical behaviour of students and the teaching fraternity I am not sure whether this is still true now?? Any takers ?? |

It's like, there are many form of smile, loving smile, sad smile, confident smile etc, etc..
I just try to bring out the confident smile. And with that smile comes the feeling. Feeling comes, doing comes later. However doing can come first, before the feeling.
Yiou arrive at the same state anyway... |

A fine example of following your own heart I guess...............
Now I often wonder how far one ought to allow parents to decide one's life. In the old days the elite families would have fathers marking out their sons' futures ...like go to MCKK, then off to Cambridge , enter politics ....then....you know to follow the family tradition..........Even the caste system seemed to have succeeded to make sons continue the family traditions of say having a line of doctors, lawyers or engineers in the family. Marriages were arranged between acceptable class of families to preserve a degree of success. What is wrong with that? Why allow your kid to reinvent the wheel so to speak, if parents can tell them what the right way is?

a few of my frens, just like the one you described above...the family has more says than u as an individual but surprisingly they are happy..AND thay are so scared to make mistake in life!...
the consequences, they are so damn gud in their life, they don't mix up with lower caste in society, they are so proud to be in their group esp the one who graduated from LONDON as well ... they are so particular about the values of being "elite"...kekkeke
few things i dun really like about them, they dun have a clue abt being "org2 kebiasaan", they avoid to be in reality esp nak tahu kisah suka-duka org lain, they refuse to understand the bitterness in life ..kalo pegang jatawan besar dlm company, they dun really understand the concept of sharing the wealth, they thot...i am deserve to get here, to have what i want in life...and the thot will pass to the offspring over generations...
they strive for the best only for a reason and the only reason is for me and my family...that's it!

working class people (bukan semua), some of them are shallow and petty,
if orang atas nak turun bawah to mingle, better be prepared perasaan and hati,
takut terguris, tercalar banyak nanti ...
coz most of these upper-class people may not have any experience,
what it takes to survive living normally in this part of parallel world ..
my sincere advice:
if takut affected, better jangan turun ..
especially those with fragile hearts, just stay in your safe haven .. |
