My comment:
Lagu Hanya Satu tu melodi utk empower ur lyric tu tak berapa kuat. I think u should do more interesting melodies.. ur music dah ok dah (walaupun I think masih perlu touch up sikit2). Coz u have to differenciate melodies for what kind of genre u want.. kalau genre cinta/pop jiwang2.. I think it's fit, tapi kalau utk commercial pop zaman skarang ataupun R&B, it doesn't suit at all. Aperpun, good effort. Flawless vocal for sure.
Lagu Mawar Berduri tu pulak, I think arrangement of the musical instruments mmg best... I loikke. The melody is kinda attractive walaupun lagu asli. Tapi masalahnya mgkin tiada bait2 yg menarik minat pendengar utk mendengar lebih. Apa pun muzik best, melodi not bad, suara best... cuma still not my sayur. Jadi mereka yg dalam bidang muzik traditional lebih layak komen kut.
Apa pun, your efforts to compose these songs mmg bagus. Cuma, kalau 3 otak bergabung jadi satu, u guys shd've come up with more interesting and fresh ideas. Your vocal actually ala2 Aiman ataupun Billy Zulkarnain, soothing and flawless. That's why, you have to go that way.. singing ballads, romantic pop or traditional pop. Tapi dalam era moden ni, these music kinda tak berapa menarik perhatian UNLESS u have something fresh in ur minds. U boleh try dengar lagu2 Kak Ani, mostly lagu etnik dia mmg ikut peredaran zaman yg menggunakan heavy bass, malah percussions, drums semua dimasukkan skali. Etnik kreatif gitu... try lar bawak lagu2 camtu. Instead of nasyid-esque songs. Oklah.. apa pun, thumbs up!..

Actually a good composer is not a composer who can only come up with good music but also good melodies. Sbb tu, a no-music-brainer singer pun boleh buat lagu dgn humming jah, asalkan melodies cantik. Music tu boleh arrange kemudian (normally perlu ada sorang music arranger utk touch up semua susunan muzik). Don't let ur composer work alone.. u as a singer should also work with him/her to produce better music and melodies. Sbb tu kalau tengok pro singers, diorang akan duduk satu studio dgn composer - supaya dia boleh get along dan cipta his/her own melodies ataupun ubah sikit2.
Lyricist pulak bekerja selepas melodies tu dah perfect. Singer jugak harus sumbangkan idea utk lyricist, contohnya dia nak mood yg camner, so that dia boleh feel. Singer nowadays takleh macam singer dulu yg hanya tunggu lagu yg tinggal dibuat oleh composer, arranger dan lyricist dan dia stakat kuar suara. They must be creative to become better singer. |
