not sure senang cari sour cream or tidak......... sour cream ni bukan macam buttermilk, sour milk tapi more to texturenya macam greek yogurt, quite thick, licin......... maybe boleh try cari substitutionnya or tapis plain yogurt dengan muslin cloth to make greek yogurt (pernah buat homemade yogurt macam ni...... rasa pretty good)
Dreamy Creamy White Chocolate Frosting
dari buku Rose's heavenly cakes
resipe roughly 1 cup
3 oz/85g white chocolate containing cocoa butter, chopped
4 oz/113g cream cheese, softened but still cool
2 tbsps/1 oz/28g unsalted butter, softened but still cool (65F/19C)
1/2 tbsp/0.2 oz/7g creme fraiche or sour cream
1/8 tsp almond extract
Cairkan white chocolate
Panaskan chocolate hingga almost melted (double boil or cara lain untuk cairkan chocolate). Ketepikan dan gaul hingga fully melted.
Sejukkan tapi chocolate still fluid.
Frosting
Dalam food processor (or any equipment yang biasa digunakan), process cream cheese, butter dan creme fraiche or sour cream hingga smooth dan creamy. Masukkan chocolate tadi dan pulse hingga tergaul rata. Masukkan almond extract dan pulse lagi. |

Dear....kat mana we can get Red Velvet cake ni selain California Pizza KLCC? All the while memang I makan Red Velvet ni di California Pizza saja. Belum nampak any cafe yg jual this type of cake.I dah try Alexis and Delicious tapi belum ada but my friend ada cakap Cupcake Chic and Delicious ada jual red velvet in cupcake version but I prefer in big slice mcm kat California Pizza tu.
Even I have to paid RM22.00 for 1 slice but so worth it. |

Yes Sis...California Pizza ni hanya ada di KLCC saja kat Malaysia ni. Di restaurant same level with Godiva Chocolate and Harrods,actually betul2 berdepan dengan both outlet ni.
About the price...yes RM22.00 per slice but as I said is worth it.
I'm not sure kot2 another cafe ada. If anyone know...please share yer. |

I makan 1 slice boleh habis sorang tau,sanggup makan pizza sekeping saja....i'm very sweet tooth person.
Not so big actualy...the slice slightly mcm secret recepi cake saja. |

Last Sunday I tried Velvet Cake at Coffee Bean.....very disappointed
The texture very dry...no sweet...keras and paling anti klimaks tu dia letal coconut sprinkle kat atas cake tu.Memang tak "masuk" langsung.
Anyway 1 slice - RM7.90 |

I ni pula jenis tak kisah bayar mahal sikit asalkan makanan tu sedap and ada quality. I bab2 makanan ni memang tak berkira.
Tapi kalau bab2 lain mcm handbag,baju etc....itu memang fikir seribu kali sebelum beli |

Ramai juga yg bagi good feedback Red velvet cake at Whisk ni tapi I belum sampai lagi sana.
Last weekend try Red velvet cupcake at Delicious BSC. RM6.90 per cup....the taste better that Coffee Bean but still cannot beat California Pizza Restaurant at KLCC tu. |

dh dpt jawapan dr thread buttermilk..
rasanye buttermilk, sour cream ngan yogurt ni adik-beradik, kalau takde satu, boleh ganti ngan mana- ... Cuma kalau pekat sgt, tambah je susu bagi sama konsistensi. Kalau nak jumpa benda pelik-pelik ni, try Cold Storage, mesti ada. tapi mungkin mahal la sikit.

buttermilk - thicker than susu tapi cair dari sour cream
yogurt - cair dari sour cream, except greek yogurt...... greek yogurt a little bit macam sour cream
kalau nak substiture dengan yogurt biasa, tapis dengan kain muslin, biar airnya menitik....... |
