ssh tak nak smbung if da keja
susah tak nak sambung belajar once dah kerja? In my current work setting, i can say tak. But i tak pasti setting kerja u dapat ni macam mana...apart from my dept, every year i banyak dengar staff2 dari dept lain duk gi luar negara or sambung belajar sponsored by the organization...
cuz bila i gi meeting (that involves other dept) and tak nampak that particular person during that meeting and risik2, "oh dia tu gi Hull, sambung masters, or "dia ni gi australia buat attachement 6 months etc....banyakla... |

Tentang soalan tu, aku xsure kalo mmg da keje gomen, pastu baru dapat master, bleh naik gaji tak. Tp yg aku penah dgr, ada sstgh jawatan mcm timbalan pengarah n mgkn yg lain, masih memerlukan kelayakan akademik utk naik pangkat. Yg ni aku xsure sbb dgr dari ckp2 org. Tp kalo da ada master, pastu baru masuk keje gomen, mmg ada perbezaan gaji. Cth mcm line IT mcm aku, kalo dapat jd pegawai IT, terus lompat P1T6. Kalo jawatn PTD plak, P1T4. Kalo aku cthnya dapat keje pegawai IT tu, aku da save bnyk tahun gak utk terus lompat ke tangga gaji tu. Kalo yg masuk dari fresh grad, P1T1, kena amek masa 6 tahun utk dapat naik ke tangga gaji tu. Kalo master, dalam 2thn buat full time, insyaAllah da bleh abeh. Tp aku aritu buat 2thn, buat pembetulan n tunggu viva, 6bulan. Dkt 2thn stgh gak la baru abes. Tp bkn senang nak dapat keje skrg. Peluang mana datang, amek je. |

i gi website organization i tadi, and ua ntuk jawatan pegawai Teknologi Maklumat F41, memang diorang dah state starting salary would differ if you have different qualification. contohnya :
Calon bagi lantikan hendaklah memiliki kelayakan seperti berikut:
(a) (i) ijazah sarjana muda kepujian dalam bidang sains komputer atau teknologi maklumat yang diiktiraf
oleh kerajaan daripada institusi-institusi pengajian tinggi tempatan atau kelayakan yang diiktiraf
setaraf dengannya.
(Gaji permulaan ialah pada Gred F41: P1T1); atau
(ii) Ijazah Sarjana Muda Kejuruteraan Komputer yang diiktiraf oleh kerajaan daripada institusi-institusi
pengajian tinggi tempatan atau kelayakan yang diiktiraf setaraf dengannya.
(Gaji permulaan ialah pada Gred F41: P1T3); atau
(iii) ijazah sarjana dalam bidang sains komputer, teknologi maklumat atau kejuruteraan komputer yang

complicated gak structure dia gak...if degree in IT lain starting dia, if degree in kejuruteraan komputer, lain pulak starting dia....both are fresh graduates |

example 1, we recently had a satisfaction study, those with masters (under the comment/suggestion part), suggested that those with masters to be on different salary scale cuz right now whether you have a masters or not,your salary is the same as your peers who have served the same number of years as you. |

example 2, one of my senior colleague left the organisation in 2009 to do full time masters (and for other reasons)...in 2010, she completed her masters & applied for the same position as a U41 but in another hospital. despite having a masters, she is offered a P1T4 as a U41 (in our position, gaji fresh grad terus automatic P1T4, not P1T1).
somaknanya, walaupun dia ada masters, and lebih senior dari i, tapi sebab dia start fresh, she's earning lower than me, which indicate that masters do not determine your salary.
right now, she's asking her former boss (who is my boss now), to write a support letter to SPA to allow her to get her old salary back (P1T9). at the moment, she's getting a fresh degree salary (with her masters).
so, what i can conclude is, ask your senior in your field, how is it like? Cuz apparently, different field/line has different scenario |

And since ramai yang kata susah nak kerja gomen (i've heard this over and over again), you might want to consider if you wanna reject this offer cuz you'll be blacklisted for as least 3 years before they can even consider your application in the future. |

single & no intention of getting married in 2 years time, so kurang sikit pressure untuk cepat kerja..you can strike out this factor in your list ....
and if lets sat background family you tak memerlukan you untuk cepat pegang duit sendiri to help them around(cuz you said your parents ada chip in for your masters course), so less pressure untuk cepat kerja...
cuz i ada friends, yang tangguhkan dulu sambung belajar sebab nak tolong parents. yang ni memang asal usul susah. And he kept to his word. he bought his family a car first (all this while family tak der kereta, ada motor je) walaupun dia gi keje naik motor je, then 2nd year kerja ada increament (masa govt revise salary scale kakitangan kerajaan), he can afford to buy himself a car. Now in progress on buying his first property. |

I have once reject gomen jobs in 2005 bcoz i feel that im not confident to teach at all. I'm not regret, i've learn much more in private sector from 2005 - 2010 i gained a lot of knowledge that I can share with. From technical to management, from technician to a senior engineer.
In 2010 I joined gov, different job scope from private, my salary drop 1/3, and again not regret 
Now i'm thinking of pursue master part time, not because of "naik gaji" or "naik pangkat" it just because knowledge satisfaction |
