“Mengikut komposisi kaum, pengundi Melayu 59 peratus, diikuti Cina 22.5 peratus, India 17.4 peratus dan bangsa-bangsa lain satu peratus.”
Boleh nampak la PH kempen all out, xberenti buat aktiviti dan hulur2 bantuan, kawan meols komplen, jalan dekat kampung dia elok lg, dah diturap baru  |

PETALING JAYA: Kepong MP Lim Lip Eng has lamented that guests at a dinner banquet he attended had applauded when he announced the results of the Sungai Bakap by-election, which Pakatan Harapan lost.
“I announced the Sungai Bakap by-election results, and the crowd clapped,” he said in a post on X.
He said the banquet was attended by a “few thousand” people.
His post drew some comments that Lim’s party, DAP, should consider the reaction a wake-up call, with one commenter even suggesting that the announcement should have received a standing ovation.
One X user, “Goldfish”, said the response was “loud and clear” and wondered if Lim’s DAP colleagues would start delivering their promises.
“The next election, it’s gonna be even louder and clearer.”
Lim later told Malaysiakini that the defeat was a “valuable lesson from the voters”. Asked for his response, he said it was one of self-reflection.
Perikatan Nasional candidate Abidin Ismail of PAS was elected the new state assemblyman for Sungai Bakap, retaining the seat for the party with a larger majority.
Abidin polled 14,489 votes for a 4,267-vote majority over his PH opponent, Joohari Ariffin of PKR, who obtained 10,222 votes. |

Iols rasa majoriti org melayu ni dh jd cam cina dan india slps PRU 2008. Ko wat apa je utk mereka tp smpi election mereka tetap pilih pembangkang. Walaupun reaksi mereka so so je kt social media tp perasaan sebenar mereka diterjemahkan di peti undi |

NIBONG TEBAL: Perikatan Nasional’s tendency to play the race card and run a campaign that centred around lies could have contributed to the opposition coalition’s win at the Sungai Bakap by-election yesterday, a PKR leader claimed.
Nurul Izzah Anwar said it was disappointing that PN had resorted to such tactics to influence voters.
The Penang PKR chief however did not identify any particular incident to back her claim.
Nurul Izzah said she took full responsibility for the defeat, adding that it was time for a “full introspection”.
“Regardless, we must strive to explain key issues such as the welfare of the people, education, infrastructure development, and sustainable living that balances the needs of both Seberang Perai and the island,” she said when delivering the party’s concession speech.
PN candidate Abidin Ismail of PAS was elected the new assemblyman for Sungai Bakap, retaining the seat for the party with a larger majority.
Abidin polled 14,489 votes for a 4,267-vote majority over his PH opponent, Joohari Ariffin of PKR, who obtained 10,222 votes.
Meanwhile, Joohari said while he accepted the results of the by-election, he hopes he would still be able to connect with more people in the constituency. |
