I think readers here must read previous post and their comments and they will stay away from VW far far away. VW Germany already admit on May 08, all their DSG boxes, whether its 2013 or earlier years strictly cannot handle 1) Hot Asian Climate 2) Asian traffic jams otherwise prone to non stop breakdowns. This is an admission in black and white.
There is no way around it. Even the recent global mass recalls cannot sort this problem out. They will just put in a new DSG box when they recall but ALL the DSG boxes by Borg Warner is inherently defective.
VW fansboys will say that this Gti’s DSG is different and all that, but trust me, its the same problematic DSG. Anyway, do you still want to trust a car company who denied for years there was nothing wrong with their DSG until the China government came down hard on them?
So, this car CANNOT be sold in Malaysia. You can use this car in Europe but a big NO in Malaysia. Unless you use the car ONLY at night (when it is cooling) and there is NO traffic jam. Truly Knight Rider (KITT)

If dah sampai range nearly RM 250k tu byk choice tu...audi a1, audi tt coupe recond, audi a4, bmw 3 series, peugeot rcz, bmw 1 series, merc a class, vw beetle.. |

Personally benda ni ikut preference, bukan ikut isu spareparts etc sbb bg aku, kalau dok pening bab spareparts apatah lg masuk bab depreciation bla bla, stop considering conti cars.
Ok itu muqaddimah, so kalau nak suruh pilih yg mana lg okay antara Golf GTi ATAU Mini Cooper Countryman, kalau aku yg suka kpd performance ni sure angkat Golf GTi...sbb kalau nak performance mmg GTi is the answer, as simple as that. Tp kalau nak yg lebih rare & bigger size, plak tu agak menarik perhatian org, amik Mini Countryman....aku perasan ade org kat sini yg komen tp tak penah tgk sendiri Mini Countryman depan2 pun....dia anggap Mini Countryman ni mcm keter kecik, maybe dia anggap sama saiz dgn Mini Cooper biasa.
As a matter of fact, Mini Countryman besar gabak...sekali tgk mcm SUV, serious ckp. Larger than GTi of course, tp kalau yg Mini Cooper S Countryman performance not bad lah, 180bhp++ 1.6L vs GTI 220bhp 2.0L - so mudahnya kalau bab performance Golf GTi is way better than Mini. DAN DARI SEGI HARGA sekali.
So sekadar nak tambah pilihan, why not kalau mampu consider skali Merc A250....lg cantik, lg glamorous, lg mcm2 lg....harga pun lebih kurang. Kalau aku, aku amik either A250 atau Golf GTI. |

better u test drive few cars first before you decide...its diff from looking and driving...u might choose mini for her looks..but u might like golf or other cars for other reasons...by now u sure dah tau how the car looks like...just test drive and see how it feels...cause u the one who gonna drive the cars..some people prefer performance/handling, some prefer comfortable car etc..on my last car..my friends suggested mcm2...but after test driving..i decided on another car..its good to have some input here..even better if u have the real feel... |

minggu lepas dah tengok a class, mmg cantik tapi dia besar sangat, saya mahu yg kecik2 shj bmw 3 series pun besar susah utk menyelit tatkala jammed. setakat ni dlm list yg kecil cuma golf gti mk7, tapi ramai pula bgtahu service dia lepas sales failed

dah try golf mk7 gti dan countryman, yg a200, a250 tak pnh lagi. since saya sdg pakai bmw 5 series, ramai yg bgtau merc tak memuaskan hati pengguna bimmer, lbh baik angkat golf atau kalangan cooper juga. agak pelik sbb a200 ni yg baru knp org kata handing family bmw lbh sedap

It's BS. in fact Merc adalah lebih reliable dari Bimmer, dari segi handling susah nak ckp which better sbb hanya professional test-driver bleh btul2 give verdict on handling antara Merc, BMW, VW or Audi. Kalau sy cukup duit, sy amik Merc A250 walaupun sy pakai VW (sbb tak mampu amik Merc). Kalau Mini Cooper Countryman okay je sy tgk tp tak sure reliability dia....& don't worry, VW after sales services skrg dah smakin improve.

A-class besar?? dari segi spec sama je saiznye. tak byk beza pon. malah golf lebar & tinggi sikit. tu pon tak byk.
Merc A-class - 4.29 x 1.78 x 1.43
VW Golf - 4.26 x 1.79 x 1.45

Yeah..once a bimmer, always a bimmer kot hehe ...i test drive all 3 ...audi, merc and bmw..in the end still go for bimmer sbb handling and performance, maybe i bias..sbb before i tukar...already drive bimmer for 6 yrs, reliability much depends on driving habits and how well u taken care of your car, some parts mmg ada wear and tear..join le car forum so leh belajar how to take care of the car, where to buy parts and where to service, kete camni kena sayang lebih sikit..from my 11 yrs driving from e36 to e90..alhamdulillah not much problem..

betul tu..tak jauh beza..and countryman nye size kurang lebar, tapi tinggi sikit 4.097 x 1.789 x 1.561 m. If smaller cam mini cooper s...syok jugak pakai tu...but countryman tu ada character sikit

golf gti biasa sgtlah luar dan dalamnya. kalau tak kerana kelazatan enjin tsi nya dah tentu tak ramai beli. hehe. tapi rasanya TT bkn pentingkan sangatkan bab perfomance ni kan. so go for countryman. ada duit lebih pe salahnya, cantik, segak dan lebih berkarakter dari golf gti |

setuju, design golf x berubah pun dengan yg terdahulu mk 5, mk 6 kan.. sama je.. tapi hebatnya dia TSI. tapi saya cari kereta nak kps performance juga sbb terbiasa dgn bmw
