Hotelier ni aku rasa dlm tahap yg agak berbeza ngan Kdrama yg lain, kurang2 tak fokus pasal cinta n ada plot yg lain sikit, rasa mcm tgk citer HK pun ya sbb perjalanan citer dia laju...aku prefer citer nih dr Kdrama cinta yg merapu2 n meleret2 tuh... |

Dragon Ash song inspires radio drama

Dragon Ash's latest single, "Yume de Aetara," will be the basis for a radio drama on J-WAVE's daytime program M+. There are four parts to this "mini love story," each about five minutes long. The parts will air on consecutive days, beginning on March 5.
The only voices will be Shinji Takeda (who played the sax on Dragon Ash's "El Alma") and Mariko Takahashi (who appeared in the PV for "Yume de Aetara").

Miki Mizuno stars in Hong Kong revival of 'Sasori'

Actress Miki Mizuno has been chosen to star in the Hong Kong action film "Sasori."
The movie is based on the popular "Sasori" series of films from the 1970s, adapted from Toru Shinohara's manga of the same name. The series, also known as "Female Prisoner Scorpion," tells the story of Nami Matsushima, a woman seeking revenge against the former lover that betrayed her.
Joe Ma Wai Ho is directing the new film. The cast consists mostly of actors from Hong Kong and Taiwan (such as Dylan Kuo, who plays the betraying lover), but a few other Japanese actors will make appearances, such as Ryo Ishibashi and Nana Natsume.
Filming began last month and is scheduled to continue until next month. The theatrical release is slated for the end of 2008, starting in Hong Kong and expanding to the rest of Asia afterwards.

Maki Tamaru named tourism ambassador to Malaysia

Actress Maki Tamaru has been appointed as the Japanese "ambassador" for the Visit Malaysia Year 2007 campaign. With Malaysia celebrating 50 years of independence, the campaign was established with the goal of increasing tourism to the country from all other nations. In particular, 370,000 Japanese people traveled to Malaysia last year, and the target for this year is 500,000.
At the event, Tamaru was also asked about reports that she and recently-married Tomonori Jinnai were once dating, but she laughed it off, saying that they are very good friends.

New TOKIO song to be used for figure skating championships

Johnny's band TOKIO will release a new single on March 28. The song, titled "Run Free," is written by rock singer Yoshihiro Kai. The last time Kai wrote a song for another artist was three years ago.
"Run Free" will be used as the image song for Fuji TV's broadcast of the 2007 World Figure Skating Championships, which is being held in Tokyo on March 20-25. TOKIO's Taichi Kokubun has been appointed as a main caster for the broadcast, and the other members are scheduled to appear on the program as special guests.

This past week, Utada stood atop the iTunes Store singles ranking, with "Flavor of Life" at #1 and the alternate "Flavor of Life -Ballad Version-" at #2. Meanwhile, the CD single is also #1 on the Oricon singles charts.

1 more 'Litre of Tears'

Fuji TV has announced the return of the 2005 drama series "1 Litre of Tears" in the form of a drama special, which will air on April 5 at 9:00pm.
The original series was based on the true story of Aya Kito, who was diagnosed with spinocerebellar degeneration at the age of 15 and died at the age of 25. When the drama aired in 2005, the first episode received ratings of only 13.5%, but the ratings grew to 20.5% by the final episode.
  
The special will take place half a year after the death of Aya (played by Erika Sawajiri). The story will focus on Aya's sister Ako (Riko Narumi), who is aiming to become a nurse, and Aya's classmate Haruto (Ryo Nishikido from pop groups Kanjani8 and NEWS), who has become a doctor. The special will include new scenes during Aya's lifetime, so Sawajiri will also appear in the drama.

Details of Kanjani8's all-prefecture tour

Details of Kanjani8's upcoming tour were announced on Thursday.
"Kanjani8 Eh! Honma!? Bikkuri!! Tour 2007" will begin on May 3 at the Yokohama Arena and will end on September 22 in Okinawa. The tour includes 111 performances throughout all 47 prefectures of Japan.
The venues range in size from the 1,000-seat Tokyo Electron Nirasaki Arts Hall to the 55,000-seat Tokyo Dome. The total capacity for the entire tour exceeds 656,000.
This is the first time that a Johnny's artist will visit every prefecture in a single tour. Producer Johnny Kitagawa also hinted at the possibility of an overseas tour soon.

Arisa Mizuki to make stage debut

30-year-old singer/actress Arisa Mizuki has been in show business since the age of 4, but has never done theater. This July, she will make her stage debut in the play "Uta no Tsubasa ni Kimi wo Nose."
The play is based on Edmond Rostand "Cyrano de Bergerac," but is instead set on the island of Tinian (of the Northern Mariana Islands) during the Pacific campaign of World War II. Mizuki plays the heroine Fumi (Roxane in the original), while Masahiko Nishimura plays a soldier (Cyrano) and Ken Yasuda plays her lover (Christian).
The play is written by Daisuke Habara ("Hula Girl") and directed by Shigemichi Sugita ("Kita no Kuni Kara"). It will run July 12-22 at the New National Theatre, Tokyo, then from July 26-28 at the Osaka Pension Hall.

Naoko Iijima to appear in 'Joudan Janai!'

Actress Naoko Iijima will make a special appearance in the TBS comedy series "Joudan Janai!," which begins on April 15. The series stars Yuji Oda as 40-year-old Keita, who marries a 20-year-old woman (Juri Ueno) that happens to be the daughter of his former girlfriend (Shinobu Otake). Iijima will appear as the manager of a family restaurant where Keita works after he gets laid off from his company.
Filming began recently, and Oda presented Iijima with a cake and flowers for her birthday (February 29). The last time the two appeared in a drama together was 11 years ago in "Mahiru no Tsuki."
