Sepanjang hari beliau mengingati ayat suci.

Menurutnya lagi, biasanya hanya cap jari anak sulungnya itu, Saini Said, diperlukan sebelum beliau dibenarkan mengeluarkan wang.

37 dead as Japanese train derails
Monday, April 25, 2005 Posted: 1:31 AM EDT (0531 GMT)
TOKYO, Japan (CNN) -- A commuter train has derailed during Monday morning rush hour outside Osaka in central Japan, killing 37 people and injuring more than 200 others, many seriously, authorities say.
Police and fire officials said they feared the death toll will go higher after the rush-hour collision.
The first three cars of the seven-car train operated by West Japan Rail went off the tracks around 9:20 a.m. (8:20 p.m. EDT), slamming into several vehicles and an apartment building.
Police said 580 people were on board at the time of the accident. Several people remain trapped in the wreckage, including the driver.
It was unclear if the train hit the cars before or after derailing.
Railway officials said the driver of the train is in grave condition.
He had less than a year of experience on the job, but was accompanied by a conductor, who was a 15-year veteran, they said.
The railway is investigating reports that the train was running more than a minute late on the Japanese train system that normally functions like clockwork, before speeding through the final station ahead of the accident.
Japan is home to one of the world's most complex and heavily traveled rail networks, but such derailings are rare.
An earthquake in 2004 caused a bullet train to derail -- the first since the high speed trains went into service 40 years ago. |

Secondary school student contracts tuberculosis
A Secondary Three student from a school northeast of Singapore has contracted tuberculosis.
More than 70 others, including 10 teachers, have been sent for tuberculosis screening.
The student, a Chinese national, only joined the school this year.
He was said to have suffered from prolonged coughing. A check with the doctor revealed that he had contracted tuberculosis.
Tan Tock Seng Hospital immediately contacted the school.
Students and teachers who have been in contact with the boy have been sent for screening.
Five have been confirmed to be latent cases. This means the germ has entered their bodies, but it is inactive and therefore non-contagious.
The boy has returned to China.
Doctors said even though the air-borne disease can be a problem in places like schools, the risk is not high.
Dr Wong Sin Yew, Consultant and Infectious Disease Physician, said: "The risk of transmission requires the people to be in contact with the infectious person for a prolonged period of time and what we usually would consider as a significant exposure is contact with the person for eight hours per day."
The Health Ministry said the number of tuberculosis cases had fallen over the years.
So far this year, there has been 337 reported cases.
Students who are sick for more than a week have been advised to seek medical treatment.
The school is working closely with Tan Tock Seng Hospital and taking the necessary measures to prevent the spread of the disease.

Elton John's Publicist Says Singer to Wed
LONDON - Pop singer Elton John will marry his longtime partner David Furnish later this year or early next year, his publicist said Monday.
Britain's The Mirror tabloid newspaper reported Monday that John, 58, would marry his Canadian partner Furnish, 42, before Christmas.
Laws recognizing homosexual civil partnerships come into effect in Britain in December.
John's spokesman Gary Furrow told British Broadcasting Corp. the nuptials may be postponed until 2006.
"A date and a venue has not been set, so it may not be until next year," Furrow told the BBC.
John was reported in The Mirror as saying the wedding could be held in Windsor, west of London, where Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall were married earlier this month.
"We definitely want to do it about the middle of December, probably in Windsor," John was quoted as saying. "But there will be no honeymoon. I'm on tour."
The pair maybe among the first British homosexuals to take advantage of new laws recognizing gay civil partnerships, which come into effect in Britain on Dec. 5.
The law, which is only applicable to homosexuals and not as an alternative to heterosexual marriage, grants lesbian and gay couples the same tax, pension, and inheritance status as married couples.
John has publicly credited Furnish, who he has dated for 11 years, with helping him to overcome addictions to alcohol and drugs.
