[CDU ESL

Lee Byeong Hun disclosed pictorial shoots portraying various attractions of the world star.

He gave off his unique charm from melancholy masculine to witty looks through the first look photo shoots.

It is said that Lee Byeong Hun received unstinted praises from staff since he professionally enjoyed the pictorial despite his pressing schedule which had to go to the district after photographing in Seoul to shoot ‘Kwang Hae, the men who became the king’ which he is casted recently.

Lee Byeong Hun told the news in the interview that he will be hand printing and foot printing as the first actor of Asia at Glory Square in front of Hollywood mans Chinese theater on June 23th. And he delivered his overwhelming feeling “it is said that popular stars participate in hand printing partially but Glory Square in front of mans Chinese theater is limited to space so it’s very fussy in selecting procedures. It was surely unbelievable.” Lee Byeong Hun said.

* melancholy 구슬픈, 우수어린

* unstinted 인색하지 않은, 아낌 없는

* pressing 긴급한, 급박한

* overwhelming 압도적인, 감격의

* fussy 까다로운, 신경질적인

Lee Byung-hun's first historical flick "Masquerade" has revealed more teaser photos before opening in domestic theaters this fall.

"Masquerade," in which Lee plays the 15th king of Joseon Dynasty, Gwanghae, revealed five still shots of the upcoming movie in a press release sent Thursday.

The forthcoming film, which tells the story of one of the most misfortunate figures in the Joseon Dynasty's history, is tentatively scheduled to meet with local moviegoers in late September, the officials said.

Jam-packed with veteran actors, Ryu Seung-ryeong of "All About My Wife" and actress Han Hyo-joo are each playing a courtier and the queen of the Joseon Dynasty in "Masquerade."

Based on the promoters' previous statements, Lee's film was originally titled "Gwanghae, the Man Who Became the King." However, the officials said they changed the title to emphasize the story of a lower-class guy becoming the king of the country.

Lee's Hollywood pic "G.I. Joe: The Rise of the Cobra" which was released in the country in 2009 and has grossed 5,995,248,000 in Korean won (around 5.2 million U.S. dollars) at the domestic box office as of June 20, KOBIS' (Korea Box Office Information System) data showed.

LOS ANGELES – June 22, 2012 – Hyundai Hope On Wheels® and Los Angeles-area Hyundai dealers will today award Children’s Hospital Los Angeles with a $75,000 Hyundai Scholar Grant to Dr. Weili Sun for her work in pediatric cancer research. Children’s Hospital Los Angeles is one of 42 recipients of Hope On Wheels’ 2012 Hyundai Scholar Grant, which supports principal investigators, known as Hyundai Scholars, who are pursuing research to improve the lives of children battling pediatric cancer.

Over the course of 2012, Hope On Wheels will donate $12 million to children’s hospitals nationwide for pediatric cancer research through its Hyundai Scholar Grant and Hyundai Hope Grant programs. By year-end 2012, Hope On Wheels plans to surpass $57 million in total donations to pediatric cancer research since its inception in 1998. Their partnership with Children’s Hospital Los Angeles has lasted since 2004 where the hospital has received $461,000 in total funding from Hope On Wheels.

“The generous support from Hyundai will provide critical funds to jump start my clinical research project,” said Dr. Weili Sun, 2012 Hyundai Scholar, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. “It will allow me to better understand how innovative epigenetic therapy can be used to treat children with acute myeloid leukemia.”

The $75,000 Hyundai Scholar Grant to Dr. Sun will be officially presented during a Hope On Wheels handprint ceremony at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles on Friday, June 22 at 10:00 a.m., where colorful handprints will be collected from Los Angeles-area children to commemorate their brave battles with cancer. Every handprint ceremony celebrates the courageous lives of the children faced with cancer and brings Hope On Wheels’ community of supporters together.

Korean actor Byung-hun Lee will also be in attendance as a special guest. The star, who made his American movie debut as Storm Shadow in the 2009 motion picture GI Joe: The Rise of the Cobra, will be amongst the first Korean actors to leave his hand and foot prints in the forecourt of Grauman’s Chinese Theatre. The ceremony, where he will be joined with fellow actor Ahn Sung-ki, will occur on June 23.

Hope On Wheels primarily provides funds to nonprofit children’s hospitals across the U.S. for pediatric cancer research, and strives to build public awareness about the importance of this cause. The program is funded by Hyundai and its U.S. dealers. With every new vehicle sold in the U.S., Hyundai customers join Hyundai and its dealers in funding important life-saving research.

During National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in September, Hope On Wheels will launch its third annual campaign to raise awareness about pediatric cancer and the need to fund critical research to find a cure. As part of its Hyundai Hope Grant program, Hope On Wheels will award 36 grants of $250,000 each to children’s hospitals across the country. Recipients of these grants will be announced in September.

"We see Hope On Wheels as a critical part of our mission at Hyundai,” said Mickey Pong, Vice Chairman of the Hope On Wheels board and owner of North County Hyundai in Carlsbad, Calif. "Pediatric cancer takes far too many young lives and impacts far too many families. We are proud to be involved in this effort to fund research to end this disease. We congratulate each doctor and institution receiving our grants, and commend them for the important work they are doing.”

Actors leave prints on Walk of Fame
By Carla Sunwoo Korea JoongAng Daily

Actors Lee Byung-hun and Ahn Sung-ki have become the first Asian actors - not including Asian-Americans - to leave their hand and foot prints on the Hollywood Walk of Fame outside Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood.
The two attended the printing ceremony that took place on Saturday.

“This is truly one of the most glorious moments in an actor’s life,” Lee said. “I can’t believe I’m here. Working for the last 20 years has indeed paid off, and I intend to work even harder for the next 20 years.”

Lee signed his name as “South Korean Actor Lee Byung hun.”

The organizing committee of the printing ceremony said that Lee was one of the finest Asian actors.

Director Kim Ji-woon, who worked with Lee for the first time in “A Bittersweet Life” in 2005 and then again in the thriller “I Saw the Devil” some five years later, was also present at the ceremony.

Kim praised Lee for his achievement in breaking into the U.S. market.
