Kajol, Hrithik bagged Filmfare awards!

It's surely a grand comeback. Bollywood actress Kajol, who had made her comeback in 慬i]Fanaa' after a long hiatus, bagged Best Actress Award for the film at 52 nd Filmfare awards, which held recently in Mumbai. Best Actor Award went to Hrithik Roshan for his stylish performance in 慏hoom 2'. This year Filmfare honoured three renowned film personalities with the Lifetime Achievement Award - Jaya Bachchan, Yash Chopra and Javed Akhtar. Jaya received the award from none other than husband Amitabh Bachchan. Abhishek Bachchan won the best supporting actor award for 慘abhi Alvida Naa Kehna', whereas Konkona Sen Sharma walked away with the best supporting actress award for 慬i]Omkara'. Saif Ali Khan, who was recently fell ill and had to be hospitalized after a mild heart attack, won the best actor award in a negative role for 慬i]Omkara'. Best comic actor award went to Arshad Warsi for 慬i]Lage Raho Munnabhai'. Quite a few stars performed at the function, including Rani Mukherji and A.R. Rahman. But the highlight of the evening was Sridevi's performance. It was a treat for the audience because she was seen in action after a long hiatus.

Ashutosh Gowariker's forthcoming film 慗odha Akbar' starring Aishwarya Rai, is currently under the production stage and is slated for a November 9 release this year. The director is keen on having Ash available for the pre-release and post-release formalities of the royal epic. Ashutosh's 慗odha Akbar' stars Hrithik Roshan paired opposite Aishwarya Rai will be releasing in the Diwali week of November.

Priyanka-Kareena rift: Shahid may play a peacemaker!

Shahid Kapur may play a peacemaker in between Priyanka Chopra and Kareena Kapoor. As you know, Priyanka and Kareena are not on a friendly term now. The bad smoke aroused during the 慬i]Aitrazz' time. And it merely fired up recently after the spoof done by Priyanka on Kareena's character's 慞ooh' in 慡alaam-e-Ishq'. SRK抯 holi with Rani and Preity!

Shah Rukh Khan recently shot a holi special episode for the game show 慘aun Banega Crorepati', which he is hosting presently. The episode, titled 慔oli Hungama' will be aired on this Thursday, on the eve of the holi, the festival of color. As per reports, Bollywood beauty Rani Mukherji and Preity Zinta, who will be the star contestants of the special episode, were present on the KBC set with SRK to shoot the episode. The show started with huge rejoices as its host Shah Rukh introduced Rani and Preity in his unique style. And amidst a noisy applause, when the actresses announced to donate the prize money for charity to Holy Family Hospital , which looks after children with heart problems, and Himachal Pradesh Red Cross respectively, the audiences almost went berserk congratulating the stars. Living up to the true spirit of 慔oli Hungama', SRK introduced the colorful lifelines of the show, as-50:50 Ki Pichkari Hai; Audience Poll Ki Gulaal Hai; Phone A Friend Ka Rang Hai and Flip Ki Gujjia Hai! He also asked the ladies to smile and give out their answers and instead of 慒reezing' it, he insisted them to ask him- 慬i]Yeh Jawab Ko Rang Laga Do Shahrukh'! Meanwhile there was a moment when SRK attempted to play holi with his celebrity guests. He light-heartedly threatened Rani and Preity, to watch for the colored water-balloons which he aimed at them and assured that it will only leave their hair a little messy! Even the trio will also once be seen shaking a leg to the popular track 慚ahi Ve'. And all through the show SRK went on offering both the ladies sweets to eat and to keep the mood of the occasion and festivity with every now and then putting gulaal on them. Aishwarya's international manager Simone Sheffield in an interview to a renowned Hollywood portal recently rubbished off the rumours that the engagement had spiked Aishwarya's Hollywood prospects. "Everyone is thrilled with her engagement and we have received thousands of email and cards from her well-wishers," said Sheffield with adding, 揝he got many offers but she did not accept the roles due to the subject matter, script or schedule.

SRK is trying hard to cut down on smoking!

Bollywood king Shah Rukh Khan is known to be a chain smoker, but recently co-star Saif Ali Khan's heart attack has waken up him to the pitfalls of smoking. As you know, Saif had to be hospitalized after this attack, and Saif now intends to give up the bad habit, which he believes is a major cause behind his attack. Though Shah Rukh doesn't want to say that smoking is the only reason to have a heart attack, but he admits it's one of the major reasons. 揟he work load does get a bit too much with meetings, press conferences, shootings, traveling, odd sleeping hours and all these contribute to the chance of heart attack. My family is always worried about my health and I have been trying to cut down on smoking for a while now," said Shah Rukh in a recent interview. SRK however confirmed that smoking is the only bad habit he has as he does not drink and tries to lead a healthy lifestyle otherwise by eating healthy and working out when time permits. SRK said "I don't waste my time getting depressed or attached to material things but prayers to Allah are important and my biggest stress busters are my babies." However actor Ajay Devgan, who is also a heavy smoker, has a different take on this issue. "I am not scared whatever has to happen will happen." Ajay feels stress is a part of everyone's life and the best way to deal with it is to not think too much about it and balance one's time well. However Ajay says "I am quite health conscious and control my diet. I eat right and work out regularly. I take care of myself as much as I can."

Amar Singh breathes fire on Shah Rukh!

[table=98%][tr][td]Attacks-counterattacks, the rift between Samajwadi Party General Secretary Amar Singh and Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is refusing to let up.

At a recent award function, Shah Rukh criticized Amar Singh saying that he saw 慬i]darindigiri' (devil) in his eyes, and Amar Singh, who though didn't retaliate immediately, put SRK under his heavy attack in a media meet in Delhi on Tuesday.

Though Shah Rukh apologized after the function and said that whatever he had said was in good humour, but it's not enough to calm down Amar Singh.

Ash-Abhi wedding on March 19?

Now it's being heard that the wedding would be on March 19. As per rumours, both the families have finally zeroed in on the date, though no official confirmation has come yet, close source says the date wouldn't be deferred any more.

As per the source, the gala wedding will take place in Jodhpur 's royal Umaid Bhawan Palace , situated on Chittar Hill. Umaid Bhavan will also be venue of Liz Hurley and Arun Nayar's Indian wedding on March 8 and 9. As per source, Papa Bachchan has asked for the palace's gardens and lawns to be decorated with flowers.
