Wait, You Totally Missed Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Son, Archie, at Trooping the Colour This Weekend
This weekend, everyone who’s anyone in the royal family went to Trooping the Colour, which is Queen Elizabeth’s annual birthday celebration. Meghan Markle made her first appearance there since debuting her little royal nugget to the world, but lots of people were like, “Hey, where’s Archie?” Well, apparently, he was there the whole time, you just couldn’t see him. “Archie was at Trooping the Colour,” a source toldUs Weekly. “[It] was a chance for him to meet some of his cousins.” Prince Louis, who’s a little more than a year old, made his Trooping debut this weekend, so that means Archie will probably truly attend his first one next year, with a balcony appearance and everything. But because all the royal cousins were there, that was probably the first time they all met. Meghan was with Archie for the majority of the day, but when she and Prince Harry had to join the rest of the family for the parade, she obviously left him behind. “She has spent almost every moment with him and saying goodbye was very difficult,” the source said. “But Meghan truly wanted to be at the celebration for the queen...Meghan loved seeing all the other royal children and was doting on them.” So sweet! Oh, and there was some talk that Meghan and Harry had been “snubbed” because they were standing behind a bunch of people. “She was not as prominent perhaps as some people might have expected, but there’s a pecking order...There was no slight intended, but William being the older, more senior brother would go out [first] with his wife.” Plus, there were lots of shorter royal kiddos who would have wanted that front-row real estate, so that makes total sense.
