Yang saya tahu Koreans are really, really patriotic. Dan pernah juga terbaca dalam Korean n/paper that they do have double-standard towards pekerja asing (especially yang berbangsa Asia berbanding yang berkulit putih).
Tapi, IMO in LYJ's case maybe because the father was once an American soldier.....hmm, tapi tak pastilah 100%.

Japan-Korea... cam Ah Dong ckp dlm "Friends" (nama dia ape tah dlm cite tuh), long history n contrasting culture. Kedudukan ekonomi pun jauh berbeza. Tapi kan, pasal patriotism... rasanya generasi baru lebih 'berkiblatkan' Barat. Dlm satu forum lain, someone yg penah keja kat Korea Selatan ckp the people are too obsessed with the Western ways sampai lupa culture sendiri. That's too bad. Sbb Asia unik dgn budayanya. Diaorg yg belah sana mana ada budaya cam kita, semua main redah aje. Religion pun lebih kepada fahaman n not the way of life. Harap |

Yelah, on the surface mungkin nampak macam mudah tapi sebenarnya the cut runs deep. Bagi kita yang neither Japanese nor Korean ni & juga yang tak pernah hidup zaman perang tentulah tak dapat memahami apa yang dirasai oleh mereka. And both nations pun are extremely patriotic in terms of competing against each other.....

Salam..JAPAN and Koreas ..the rift / conflicts that they had ..is it because of the differences / ketaksamaan dr segi ideology because i am bit confuse South or North ..yg sikalang japan ade problem nie dgn north korea kan.. Memanglah we were not involved in any rivalry at that time but the schools certainly were in striving for academic excellence. Mana-mana sekolah pun (esp. boarding schools) have rivals.....well, dulu adalah. Pretty sure sekarang pun sama ^_^. |

as for me , as a taiping student..well personally i don't really give much attention though ..however, both the principle and teachers were surely 'felt' the pressure..
about the lake thingy..well believe me you..memang kena masuk but i then discovered that the depth of the lake was just a knee high....hmm lrpas tu you bayangkan kita dah basah ..kena pergi dewan selera pulak sebab waktu bio tu adalah waktu akhir....well the smells..hmmm |
