tak jugak..aku tak pk CT menunjuk2..org surat khabar yg berusaha korek rasanye..bukan CT yg citer..sumber yg citer..sape sumber tue tak taulah..
lagipun CT penah pesan (kat surat khabar mana tak ingat) supaya org sokkabar takyahlah korek pasal majlis perkahwinan CT..cari designer baju CT..korek berapa hantaran n etc..CT kata bila masanya CT akan umumkan..

getting married, but why have it on the front page?"
  By now, almost everyone knows that the "she" in question is Siti
Nurhaliza, and that she is getting married to Datuk Khalid Mohd Jiwa, the
no longer mysterious Datuk K.
  Such is the pull of their nuptials that 200 members of the Press
attended their news conference, and almost all newspapers played it big.
Two television stations, one private and one government-owned, broadcast
"live" link-ups that had the Monday lunch crowd in the food court I was
at distracted from their meals for a while.
  The last time I saw so many media people under one roof was at an
international summit of global importance, but never at a venue where two
people were announcing their personal plans.
  Many may well ask, with noses pinched as they scan the newspapers, why
the media is going ga-ga over a wedding when the tabling of the annual
budget and the 9th Malaysia Plan attracted less interest?
  One could argue that the media got its priorities wrong.
  Yes and no.
  Yes, there are obviously more important things happening in the world.
  No, because Siti, the most Googled Malaysian, is big news, and Siti
getting married is bigger still. If she adopts a cat, then it will be
news too.
  I believe it is our collective voyeuristic instinct that makes us act
this way. We are all consumed by the celebrity culture, be it artistes,
sportsmen, politicians, corporate leaders or criminals. People like to
read about people, and we assume some are worth more of our attention
than others.
  Siti's wedding announcement trumped other more "important" news on
Monday, such as the debate over the mandatory Ethnic Relations course for
university students; the RM10 million compensation demanded by the victim
of the nude-squat incident; the return of the haze; the goings-on in
Parliament; the controversial sports complex in London; the G-8 summit in
Russia; oil testing the US$80 (RM294) per barrel level; and the cloud
over our heads called bird flu.
  Who cares what United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan has to say
about the Middle East, or that Israel may soon invade Lebanon and extend
the war to Iran or Syria, or that North Korea tested its long-range
Taepodong 2 missile, or that there was another tsunami killing hundreds
in Java. We care, of course, but Siti is getting married!
  There are many questions about the relevance of the wedding news and
the wisdom of the media frenzy that followed it. There were also
questions on having a Press conference to announce it, after being coy
for so long. Isn't a Press statement sufficient?
  Having been worked up for so long, the Press conference fed our
voyeuristic instincts. We betrayed our sense of reason and our stiff
upper lip cracked at the mere mention of celebrity news. If it was not
Siti, then it would be Yusry and Erra heading for splitsville, or
anything about Mawi. Now we have a Datuk M with a budding starlet.
  News organisations are often caught in a dilemma with such news. Do
they print news that people need or want? Does the media set the agenda
for the day, or the news set the agenda for the media? If Siti's
impending wedding is not covered at all, will it be in the hearts and
minds of people?
  Obviously it does us no good to know how much the wedding ring or gown
cost. But we are all voyeurs at heart, some more than others, grovelling
for the down and dirty, the scandalous and juicy. Just listen to our
daily conversations, often spiced by the who's doing what and where, and
rarely the state of global peace and human welfare.
  To be fair, the celebrity culture is not unique to us. It is a staple
of all countries. Our palates are dry and we seek excitement in life,
especially when it involves others.

berita perkahwinan CT mengatasi besarnye berita2 yg lain..spt:
1) debat ttg kursus perhubungan etnik mandatori untuk pelajar universiti
2) gantirugi 10 juta mangsa bogel ketuk ketampi
3)kenyataan Kofi anan ttg pergolakan di Timur Tengah/ Asia Barat
4)satu lagi tsunami melanda Indonesia..
