Ronaldo in Toon tunnel bust-up

Cristiano Ronaldo and Steven Taylor were involved in a nasty half-time spat at St James' Park on Wednesday.

Red Devils ace Ronaldo was reacting to Newcastle's Taylor over-physical challenges, especially one seconds before the break.

Taylor appeared to hit Ronaldo on the side of the face, a blowwhich floored the United winger momentarily.

Ronaldo felt he was clobbered by Taylor, who got only a booking from ref Steve Bennett, and let fly with a verbal blast damning the Toon's style.

According to the Sun, the Portuguese flyer told Taylor in the St James' Park tunnel: "Your style of football is s**t".

Taylor hit back and snapped: "Well you are ugly!"

It was a nasty flashpoint in a clash United won with goals from Wayne Rooney and Dimitar Berbatov.

Their goals meant United stretched their lead over Chelsea and Liverpool at the top of the Premier League to seven points.
