MOSTI ada offer biasiswa untuk master dan Phd programme. please refer utusan malaysia 19 nov 2006. atau terus ke laman web MOSTI.
http://www.mosti.gov.my/MostePortal/website/index.jsp
nota : mana-mana master pun sama, at the end hasilnya sama . bagi saya: kesan utama ialah : kekuatan mempertahankan dan menjelasakan fakta/ilmu/sumber yang kita dapat. |

bila coursework pembahagian lebih kurang sama cam ijazah, ada assignment, ujian dan final exam (some uni panggil peperiksaan komprehensif). yg bezanya kalau ijazah cgpa utk graduate at least 2. ...
tapi berbeza jika di UMalaya. |

kadang-kadang kita ckp senang, org cakap tidak. it's depends on that person. master programme ni boleh dikatakan 'proses meng independent kan diri '. sorry, terpaksa pinjam perkataan mat salleh.
coursework atau research?
depends kepada minat. tepuk dada tanya selera, jika ada cita-cita nak
teruskan dengan phd...personally, saya cadangkan ambil master by research.
kenapa? tak payah nak pecah kepala idea utk phd, boleh upgrade research masa
master. katakan, masa master dpt supervisor yg excellent (walaupun kita ni hancus), boleh terus ajak dia jadi supervisor phd sekali. pasti dia gembira.
yg penting...ongkosnya mesti cukup. selamat belajar. |

A LOT EASIER SAID THAN DONE!!!
dulu sebelum buat master/phd, bila tgk thesis org lain, bagi aku nampak cam mudah. tapi once mula nak menulis thesis sendiri, masa tu la rasa betapa susahnya nak hasilkan penulisan akademik yg baik, nak memerah otak abt theories, developing model, hypotheses, etc etc
pd aku, kalau nak masuk academic line e.g. nak jadik lecturer, better buat master by research. kalau nak masuk non academic line e.g. manager, engineer, consultant etc, better go for coursework. |

cukupla aku buat research utk thesis final year degree dulu, huhuhu |

Aku rasa kerajaan M'sia lebih utamakan bidang sains berbanding business... klu sains senang la dapat biasiswa... klu business kena nangis dulu baru dapat biasiswa... |

Balik semula tajuk asal... kat m'sia IPTA mana ada tawarkan MBA...?
kebanyakan uni ada tawarkan MBA >>> USM, UUM, UKM, UPM, UM, UIAM, UTM, UMS, UNIMAS
ada juga yg tawarkan MM (master of management) >> UPM, UM, UTM, UIAM
UPSI lak ada tawarkan M.Ed. (pendidikan perniagaan)
kalau sen tak cukup jgn mimpi nak buat MBA. kena sediakan duit banyak2. coz MBA ni agak mahal, based on credit, satu kredit around RM300 kalau tak silap. kos keseluruhan kalau buat kat UPM around RM22,000. itu 8 tahun lepas, skarang tak tau berapa. |

Hi all. Hi mardhiah12. Have you completed your MBA? Actually, I also got interest to get MBA but actually I got bachelor in Chemical Engineering. I've been working for 6 years but I feel, currently, what ever we do everything is related to business so I want to know more about business. But, did you got any friend in the class who also got degree in a field that totally different with business? Can they cope with the subjects? Can you share the experience? |

Hi yanz...I'm still currently pursuing my MBA program. Still a long way to go. Yes, FYI, my classmates come from diverse background. In fact, I would say, half of them came from acc/finance background, half from engineering and a handful from IT Background and even one from law background. It seemed like for one year I've been with them, a lot of them can cope with the program. MBA program is unique and interesting in the sense that you can relate it with your working environment. Even the assignments are usually work oriented, so it's not really difficult to gain information and other stuffs. In my class, we have a strong bonding. The intelligent ones usually assist the weaker ones. Even the lecturers are helpful. I would say MBA program indeed provides an interesting overview. In my class, we argue with the lecturers in a good mannered way.
I hope this helps |

eemm. good to hear that, what about the class schedule? Let say if you need to go abroad for 2 weeks for business purposes, will the faculty allow you to miss the class? Do they got e-learning programme where we actually can access all the topics/module through internet.
Since I stay near by UITM shah alam, I was thinking to take EMBA. Any comment about that course?

well, for me, it wouldn't be any problem at all. I'm doing MBA in UIA, and the semester spans into 14-week duration. A ot of my classmates always have training and such and they just tell the lecturers. No, they don't have e-learning and stuffs like that. But we keep ourselves updated by our batch's yahoo group.
But' i'm quite unsure about uitm since the classes run like one month for one subject and then you'll have your exam. i think you have to drop the subject if you're having any job related matters during weekend |

UPM paling mahal. Currently pursuing part time master at UPM, 1 subject cost me RM1,500. 1 semester I took 3 subjects, so RM4,500. Pernah terfikir nak stop belajar kt UPM, then sambung kt UIA..Tapi macam membazir pulak.. Kalau bole transfer kredit xpe la jugak |
