IPTV nie tak pakai streamyx biasa but thru high speed broadband with min bandwidth of 10mbps up to 1Gbps.
but tell ya, 10mbps pon dah superb. i tgk trial launch at my aunty's hse ...

Astro HD tak effect by hujan. n sama HD quality nyer.. tp kalo compare TM's IPTV n Astro HD, personally sy rs Astro akan menang dr segi content.... Astro got experience as television channel manager... TM got a higher learning curve...
tht's why TM kalah to Astro for World Cup 2010 bidding for malaysia's license.... rm500M tuh astro bid... |

and lagi satu, TM IPTV tu sure tak cover kawasan kampung and pedalaman... and lagi skali, org kampung ketinggalan...
tak mcm astro, tak kiralah ko duduk pulau ke, ceruk bukit mana ke, coverage tetap ada...and lagi satu, astro byond ni masalah rain fade dah berkurang sikit sebab size dish besar sikit...
sebab astro pakai satellite....
TM kalau nak bid event besar2.., pastikan coverage tu meliputi seluruh malaysia... bukan "urban" area je... |

dah pasang huhuuh..best best....real woo..esp natgeo HD. kalo tengok tang scenery tuh full melertzz weih..huhuu..tapi aku tak suke remote control die.pening..pastu kalo tekan kat info.takleh klik kat channel..maknanya die tros tukar gi channel tu.. |

hahah..actually bayor rm20 tambahan per month tu kire ok laar.jgn la asik nak free jek..bebaru ni mmg le terasa,tapi sok2 diorang da tambah lagik channel..berbaloi la seh rm20 tu |

kalau x salah aku, sebelum nak tgk channel HD tu..u must subscribe to the package first.
Contoh, HBO HD, utk view benda nie, package astro korang mesti dah subscibe movies channel.
Nat Geo HD, you guys must subcribe Learning Channel
Kalau Sport HD tu, you must subscribe to Sports Channels.
Thereofore, kalau korang x der pakgae channels tu..then you pay RM20 extra pun..tak dapat tgk.....

of course la.. byond ni bukan package lain. dia cuma upgrade ur package to HD, kalo x subscribe the package, mana nak nampak HD nyer |

Mcm aku, dapat 4 channel je, Nat Geo HD, Supersport HD, ESPN HD ngan History HD.., sebab aku x subscribe movies, tak dapatlah HBO.... |

korang punya astro byond ok tak?this week prob lah with my byond pic dia mengembang, so nampak muka orang tuh part dagu jer, adui...
dah called customer service dia kata mmg dia ada prob tuh this week only for byond customer. ermmm masalahnya lama sgt!ku mintak rebate, yelah we pay for it kan...dah dia punya prob kan, haruslah rebate! |

aku pun kena gak... ingatkan problem tv aku, puas aku godek2 setting... bile call asteruk, mmg problem diorg... option stretch dah takde... ganti ngan zoom... so, untuk channel SD, kena pilih antara zoom or pillar box...  |

yang kaler merah, biru dan hijau tu. Cuma masalahnya chanel hd hanya boleh tgk pakai hdmi. Leceh la nak tukar input every time tukar chanel.
Sekarang ni saya pakai pillar box dulu temporary. Sapa2 pakai plasma susah sikit la. |

Recently, Astro performed a software update download to deliver a consistent viewing experience for different aspect ratios. This is designed in conjunction with Astro’s software partners and is in accordance with international broadcast and content standards. For High-Definition content, the new software displays the image in its wide-screen format; for standard definition content, the image displays in pillar box mode (with two black bars at the sides) to retain its original proportion and resolution for optimum picture quality.
Following customers' feedback after the software update download, we hear your preference and are working with our software partners to provide feasible viewing options. By the end of this week, we will replace the “Zoom” option with the “Fit to Screen” option for our customers who prefer to view Standard Definition content in full screen. To do this, customers can press the aspect ratio button on their Astro B.yond remote control. However, for the correct proportions and best resolution, Astro recommends that Standard Definition content be viewed via the pillar box mode.
Astro regrets any inconvenience caused as it strives to improve its customer experience. Astro thanks its loyal customers for their continued feedback.
