utk boot dan root partition aku guna ext4
untuk partition data aku guna xfs atau reiserfs sebab aku terasa lebih laju read ngn write dia especially xfs. |

lost+found nih reserved utk setiap partition kan,, kalu up to 900mb tak bermaksud dia akan accomodate 900mb of you sizez setiap masa,, tuh tanda harddisk ko nak kaput,, by default system akan cuba recover setiap file yg ada lost+found tuh upon booting,, lepas improper shutdown tak kira ko force shutdown ker, power failure ker,, byk ker OS + partition kat pC ko? hehe.. |

btw,, for info laa... lost+found directory nih is reserved for a program named "fsck" acronym utk file_system_check..
kalu kita dig further the "fsck" program, how it works,, korang akan nampak dia akan scan Data block,, spt sedia maklum,, setiap info utk file tuh is not
stored the the entire data block,, tp kat inode for that data block,, ataupon kita panggil "file descriptor".. so let say ada improper shutdown,, "fsck"
program tries to scan as much and store as much backup informations of running files/program and put write those info in "lost+found" directory,,, if you
notice file yg kat lost+found" tuh hanya eg #08724098 (ada # kat kepala),, well depend of what filesystem,, but most of the cases they write them that
way... that files refers to data which been backed-up by fsck,, the filename is corresponding to dia punya inode ID,, kalu nak tau lebih,,, back to basic
Linux,, bab filesystem,, inode, block, file permission etc... so how much size will be reserved for every partition's Lost+found dir nih,, adalah very
depending on its Filesystem,, note that "fsck" hanya scan Data block of the files,, pastu store the information as its inode ID,, secara detail dan tepat
aku tak sure baper size dia,, tp they will be proportionate ngan data block sizes available in that partition... so semakin besar Data block utk FS eg:
4096K,, semakin sikit Inodes dia,, relatively besar laa portion Data block tu.. compare with FS yg Datablock nye kecik eg: 512K,, semakin banyak Inodes
dia,, so reserve utk Lost+found dia kecik skeet.. wallahualam.
so back to what u trying to achieve... nak resize lost+found directory,, what u can do is manually remove those file,, tp sbb dia ada special char kat file naming,, so ko takleh remove dgn cara biasa,, kena remove inode dia,,, nak tau inode dia,, masuk directory,, list kan file pakai #ls -lai (of coz under root/su/sudo)... good luck!! nak lebih info, try laa google.. hehe |

sekiranya aku setkan pertition yg xde OS ( khas untuk simpan2 je ) kepada ext4 atau xfs, windows boleh baca tak partition tu ?
Dan boleh tak aku sharing kat LAN partition tu dengan windows ? |
