Priyanka & Katrina confirmed for Bride Wars
Not long ago, it was reported that all is not well between Bollywood actresses Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra. The news that Katrina had replaced Priyanka in the sequel of Karan Johar’s “Dostana” sparked the rumours of difference between them. However, these extremely beautiful and talented heroines are set to share the screen space in the new movie.
The latest buzz is doing the rounds that Katrina and Priyanka are going to act together in the remake of Hollywood movie ‘Bride Wars’, to be produced by Shristhi Arya. They are going to play the roles played by Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway in the original version.
It is said that Shrishti has bought the remake rights of the movie and that both Katrina and Priyanka are keen to be part of the movie. However, the rest of the cast is yet to be finalized. It is expected to go to the floors very soon.
Well, it will be a treat for film lovers to see Katrina and Priyanka together. |

Shahrukh Khan's My Name Is Khan releasing on Feb.12
It's official! Fox Star Studios, 20th Century Fox International and Fox Searchlight Pictures have announced that My Name Is Khan the highly anticipated film from director Karan Johar and starring Shahrukh Khan and Kajol, will open in theaters in India and over 40 countries including the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand and the Middle East on Valentine's Day weekend, that is, February 12, 2010. Other remaining territories will release in early spring/summer 2010.
In My Name Is Khan, Shahrukh Khan stars as Rizvan Khan, an unconventional hero who embarks on an incredible journey across America in order to win back the love of his life. Along the way his unique brand of goodness and humanity touches the lives of many and inspires a nation. |

Kajol, Kareena have a Blast on Sets
Whoever said two actresses cannot be friends should have dropped in on the sets of the 'Stepmother' remake, a schedule which just got over recently. The film, which is being produced Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, stars Kajol, Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal. If people expected fireworks on the sets, than they would have been quite disappointed.
All the fireworks were reserved for the camera. On the sets, in between shots, the two actresses were absolutely chilled out and seemed to be having a blast of a time. Of course, this is not the first time that the two are working together. They played sisters in Karan's 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham' as well. But they were not really in any kind of competition back then. In the current movie, they are actually pitted against each other. But the women did not carry their reel life roles into their real life and were seen promoting each other on the sets and generally having a good time. A lot of that has to do with the fact that Kareena has admitted that she has great admiration for Kajol and is absolutely delighted to be working with her. Also, the fact remains, that both are good friends of Karan, who is the producer for this movie. In fact, with Kareena coming into her own as an actress, it will be really interesting to see the two of them together on screen. Kajol is known for her acting abilities and hence it only promises to be a treat for admirers of both actresses. |

Kurbaan given an "A" Rating

Sizzling scenes between Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor and extreme violence have resulted in Karan Johar's soon-to-be-released Kurbaan getting an 'A' certificate by the censor board.

A source says, "There is a lot of violence as the film is set against the backdrop of terrorism. Taking this into account, the censors felt that a 'U' or even a 'U/A' certificate would not be advisable."
Director Rensil D'Silva tried his best to reason with the censor board but they were firm about their decision.
Regional Officer of the Censor Board, Vinayak Azad, confirmed the news and said, "After we saw Kurbaan, we felt that it was meant for adult viewing only." |

Deepika Padukone to star opposite Imran Khan, who happens to be her ex-boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor's closest friend
Deepika Padukone, who recently split with Ranbir Kapoor, will star opposite his closest friend Imran Khan in a film produced by Kunal Kohli. The film is the directorial debut of Danish Aslam, Kunal's assistant.
A source says, "Post her breakup with Ranbir, Deepika is taking on more and more assignments to keep herself busy. She now wants to focus on her career and make all the right moves.
She has signed films with Ashutosh Gowariker and Yash Raj Films. Danish's film, which is jointly produced by Kunal Kohli and Big Pictures, is another big film in her kitty. Deepika is very excited about it.
She chose to sign the film despite Imran being Ranbir's close friend as she has moved on. She doesn't want to mix her personal life with her professional life."
Confirming the news, Kunal Kohli says, "It's true. We have finalised Imran and Deepika for the film. We are hoping to start the film early next year. It's a love story and we are yet to find a title for the film. Danish will be making his debut as a director with this film."
