Valencia winger Vicente retired from training on Thursday with a recurrence of a thigh strain that has kept him out of the club's last two matches and he was left out of the squad for
Saturday's local derby at home to Levante.

Valencia in easy derby win

Valencia moved up to third in the Liga table with a comfortable 3-0 home derby victory over Levante on Saturday evening.
Two goals in the space of four minutes near the start of the second-half set Valencia up for the points as Hugo Viana and Fernando Morientes got on the scoresheet, before Roberto Ayala put some more gloss on the win with a late third.
After a slow start Valencia eventually began to exert a level of dominance as the first half progressed but a combination of some wasteful finishing and some smart goalkeeping from Jose Molina ensured it was still be 0-0 at break.
The hosts were first denied the opener in the 16th minute as Molina made a double save, first saving from Miguel Angel Angulo who shot from just outside the box, before reacting quickly to deny Morientes who was following in.
Morientes then put a sitter of a header wide from six yards out, before Molina was again called into action as he saved an Angulo effort with his feet.
Valencia's frustrating first half was compounded when Ruben Baraja was forced off with an injury, with Viana coming on to replace him.
The former Newcastle man made his mark in the second-half however, as he grabbed the opener in the 51st minute, as Valencia exploited the fact that Levante were momentarily down to ten men with Alvaro off injured.
Viana was on hand to run onto David Villa's little pass 25 yards out from goal, before proceeding to perfectly place a low drive into the bottom right hand corner of the net.
Alvaro was forced off, and then four minutes later things got worse for the visitors as Morientes made it two from close range.
The goal came from a Miguel cross deep on the right, the full-back's ball fell to the boot of Silva who tried a volley, he couldn't hit the target, but instead the ball flashed across the six yard box and Morientes showed quick feet to tap home.
For the rest of the game Valencia never needed to get out of second gear, although Levante almost got back into things when Gustavo Reggi's header had to be tipped over by Santiago Canizares in the 70th minute.
However, 11 minutes from time, Ayala sealed the win as he headed home Villa's free kick.
Laurent Robert came on for Levante and had a couple of decent efforts from long free-kicks, but if any goal had come from the visitors it would have been nothing more than a consolation.

Ayala keen on new Valencia deal
Valencia defender Roberto Ayala says he does not want to play in the Premiership and wants to sign a new deal at his current club.
The 33-year-old's current deal expires in the summer and has been linked with a move to a number of Premiership clubs including Champions Chelsea and Liverpool. But Ayala insists he does not want to play for any other club and is hopeful of signing a new deal at the Mestalla in the near future. The Argentina international told the club's website: "I am playing, and of course I would like the future to be resolved as soon as possible. "I have roots here, the club has treated me very well. It would be a wrench for me to leave." He added: "My preference is that I remain in Valencia. That is my intention. If I left the door open (for a move), then something could happen, but so far I have not. "The rumours do not affect me because it is always going to be the case that at a great club there are rumours, players who leave and players who join. "Honestly, it does not affect me because I prepare myself in the right way, and then I give everything I have."
