Oh, Rocky and Garie.
Your "creator" (wink, wink!) has a wicked sense of humor, no?
At some point, we're all hoping that the original Garie and Rocky will find a way back to forevermore.
Because it's quite disheartening, really.
That those who were once inseparable and who made more sense together, have gone their separate ways.
The collective dismay is not about a real-life love story gone sour. IT NEVER WAS JUST ABOUT THAT.
The shared misery comes from the unmet potential -- the fall from the heavens of those who were once the brightest lights in a universe of stars.
The pain comes from being witness to how what was once beautiful and good has been lost.
The confusion comes from trying to fathom a bitterness that seems endless.
The loud sigh of regret comes from those who loved them fiercely and still do.
But love is not enough.
It probably never will be.
And so you cling on to a prayer. And to hope.
Hope.
Hope that one day, all wounds would be healed.
Hope that one day, all sins will be forgiven.
Hope that one day, all the days of waiting would have been worth it.
Rocky and Garie.
Once upon a time.
