: No way, Jose
You wouldn't be so special at United
Jose Mourinho expects to be considered for the manager抯 job at Manchester United when Alex Ferguson finally retires. I抳e no doubt that Mourinho will be in the frame to take over. But I don抰 think we will ever see him sitting in the home dugout at Old Trafford... I love Mourinho and I love his confidence. He's an exceptionally good manager and is not afraid of telling everyone exactly that. But I抦 not certain he would be right for United and I抦 not sure the fans would really like him. He'd be better suited to a club where he could create an empire -maybe a team like Manchester City. When Fergie finally does go, someone like Martin O扤eill or David Moyes would be far more likely to takeover. United may not suit a flamboyant manager.
Ian Wright, The Sun
The same paper run quotes from Cristiano Ronaldo on the treatment he's receiving these days from opposition defenders. "If someone kicks me, I get up and I go again. I am not afraid of being kicked |

Rio boost for United
There was good news for United this morning ahead of Wednesday's Champions League clash with Internazionale as Rio Ferdinand joined a 23-man Reds squad training at Carrington.
The 30-year-old defensive lynchpin injured his ankle against Fulham in the FA Cup on Saturday, and there had been concerns over his fitness and availability for Wednesday's crunch tie.
But he now appears likely to join Nemanja Vidic, who was suspended for the first leg in Milan, in the heart of United's defence.
John O'Shea was also joined in training. The Irishman has been nursing a heel injury of late and was replaced by Richard Eckersley against Fulham.
There was no Gary Neville, Wes Brown, Zoran Tosic (who is ineligable anyway) or Rafael taking part in the first-team session at United's training headquarters.
The squad in full training at Carrington on Tuesday morning is as follows: Van der Sar, Foster, Kuszczak; Evra, Ferdinand, Vidic, Fabio, Evans, O'Shea, Eckersley; Ronaldo, Anderson, Giggs, Park, Carrick, Scholes, Fletcher, Gibson, Nani; Rooney, Berbatov, Tevez, Welbeck.
We'll bring you a more detailed injury update and team news from Sir Alex's pre-match press conference at 12:30 GMT. The boss is joined at OT's media briefing by Patrice Evra
