FIFA President Joseph S. Blatter todayreceived the title of honorary member of Real Madrid and a gold anddiamond club badge from Real Madrid president Ram髇 Calder髇 at aceremony held at the Santiago Bernab閡 stadium in Madrid.

Shortlyafterwards, the two presidents signed a collaboration agreement betweenworld football's governing body and the Real Madrid Foundation todevise and implement strategies to improve the standard of living ofchildren all over the world, particularly in developing countries,through playing football.

"I am proud to receive this importantdistinction and sign this collaboration agreement with Real Madrid, aclub which was a founder member of FIFA in 1904, was declared theTwentieth Century's Best Club in 2000 and was awarded the FIFACentennial Order of Merit in 2004.
