Blackburn Rovers have piled the pressure on Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson after claiming a 3-1 victory on Wednesday night

The hosts bounced back from their 3-0 defeat to Sunderland in style, albeit thanks to some schoolboy errors on Liverpool's part, with Martin Olsson opening the scoring before Benjani Mwaruwari bagged himself a brace to put Rovers three in the clear.

Liverpool's Steven Gerrard led a fleeting fightback for the Merseysiders but the Reds captain then missed a penalty to end their hopes of salvaging something from the game.

The result gives Steve Kean his first victory on home soil after taking over from Sam Allardyce as manager.

Roy Hodgson spoke of his disappointment and frustration after Liverpool slumped to a 3-1 defeat at Blackburn Rovers on Wednesday night.

Martin Olsson and a brace from Benjani put the home side into a three-goal lead inside an hour at Ewood Park.
Steven Gerrard reduced the arrears with 10 minutes remaining but the captain missed from the penalty spot before the end.
Asked to sum up his feelings after the game by reporters, Hodgson replied: "Dejection, bitter disappointment and frustration.
"I'm very disappointed for the fans who travelled so far and gave us such good support only to see the team concede the goals we conceded.
"I thought in the second half we did our best to retrieve a seemingly hopeless situation and get back on track and who knows, if Steven's penalty had gone in we might have even made the last five minutes even more exciting.
"Unfortunately, when you're Liverpool and you lose away to Blackburn there is nothing that can be said which will put a positive slant or make the situation look any brighter, so as far as I'm concerned it's a really, really bad day.
"There's not much more I can say other than to say to the fans that anything they're feeling tonight, I can assure them the feeling is equally as bad and equally as depressed in the dressing room because tonight it was a performance which was anything other than the performance we wanted to give."
He continued: "In football you do what you always do. You keep going as best you can, you make certain you try and get over the result, you make certain the next result is a better one and hopefully wipes away the memory, but that's all you can do.
"Football unfortunately throws up some good moments and bad moments, and when it throws up a bad moment there is no amount of talking that is going to change anything.

"It'll be the next performance which could change things." and next..and next..and next..

Sejak kedatangan mu membawa kebencian, kesedihan dan kekalahan
Sejak kedatangan roy terlalu banyak mengundang kesedihan kepada seluruh penyokong Liverpool dan terlalu banyak rekod perlawanan di pecahkan contohnya semasa menentang Blackpool dan Wolves.

Kekalahan yang amat memalukan dan terlalu pahit untuk ditelan, secara jujurnya saya amat bersedih dengan kekalahan ini, tetapi jika dilihatkan kepada aspek yang lain pula berkemungkinan amat baik bagi squad Liverpool kalah pada awaktu ini untuk membolehkan pemilik Liverpool John Hnery bertindak untuk memecat Roy dan membawa prngurus baru untuk memimpin Liverpool. Dan berkemungkinan untuk sementara kenny dalglish berkemungkinan akan mengantikan tempat kosong untuk jawatan pengurus.

Memang sudah terang lagi bersuluh, Roy hodgson tidak layak untuk menjadi pengurus Liverpool dia boleh diibaratkan sebagai duri dalam daging kepada Liverpool atau boleh dikatakan sebagai pembawa kepada penurun prestasi pemain.

Dan lebih membingbangkan lagi adakah masih lagi mempunyai harapan untuk Liverpool dalam meniti perjalanan Liga Perdana dalam musim ini, kerana sejak kedatangan Roy pasukan kita sudah menjadi pasukan berlasahan dan pasukan yang mudah diperkotak-katik kan…. oleh pasukan lawan.....

Arggggghhhhhhhhhhh…. Tulis apa pun tak berguna lagi pecat je mamat Roy ini, x pun saya merayu kepada Roy hodgson tolong la pergi dari Liverpool sebelum kamu merosakkan rekod-rekod perlawanan untuk Liverpool. dan membawa lagi banyak kebencian dan kekalahan serta kesedihan untuk Liverpool.
