i also would like to clear my understanding that this is at just one event right? I mean, you didnt write in methapor or poetic nuances eg ''to wait a while'' isnt meant to describe a long courtship or attempt at one where you didnt know he's gonna be in with you or not.
reason i asked is that i often write that way
