How to send themes from one phone to another :

First you will need to have FExplorer on both the phones and then proceed with the steps below :

Sender = The person sending the theme from his phone
Recipient = The person receiving the theme on his phone
Also I am assuming the theme is saved in the MMC of the sender's phone.

Sender's Steps :

1. Open FExplorer on the sender's phone.
2. Browse to E:\System\skins
3. You will see alot of gibberishly named folder.
4. When you enter into any of those folders, you will see some files with the name of the theme.
5. Lets say you want to transfer the theme whose folder is named as 082df835462c1b4a.
6. Send all the content inside the folder 082df835462c1b4a via bluetooth to the recipient's phone.
7. Recipient must make a note of the folder name 082df835462c1b4a
8. The sender's task is over now.

Recipient's Steps :

1. Open FExplorer.
2. Browse to E:\System\skins and make a new directory/folder named exactly as the folder in the sender's phone. (i.e. 082df835462c1b4a)
3. Go back to the main menu and scroll down to "inbox" and enter it.
4. In the "inbox" you will find the files that the sender sent you.
5. Copy/cut them one by one and paste them in the folder you just made.
6. Exit FExplorer.
7. Go to Themes >> (Move the joystick right to enter themes saved in MMC) and you will find the new theme there.

1- Open System Explorer & locate "C:\System\Data\"
2- Scroll down and locate file "Mumsms.db", this is a database
3- Open the first table which is "config"
4- You will see password under the first table named "TEXT16 password"

Sending Files via BT & IR

Where are the files that you send to your phone via IR or BT?

There are in mail folder :

If you store your messages in phone memory, there are in C:\system\mail\...

If you store your messages in MMC, there are in E:\system\mail\...
Files in inbox are in folders like "*_F "

For example: E:\system\mail\00001001_S\0\00100c60_F\ (file)
or E:\system\mail\00001001_S\1\00100bc1_F\ (file)
or E:\system\mail\00001001_S\2\00100bc2_F\ (file)

Installing Ngage Games on 6600/7610/3650/3660

There are 2 types of N-gage games.
One is in .blz format and the other is a folder with other files and folders.
I'm going to talk about the .blz version first.

.blz

You need the .blz file, and blzinstaller.sis to install it.
1) Install the blzinstaller.sis, into phone or mmc, doesnt matter.
2) Send the .blz file to ur phone. For this example, I'm gonna use sonic.blz.
3) Move the .blz to the root dir of e:, which is ur mmc. Meaning, dont place it in any folders. Place it in e:, so it looks like this <e:/sonic.blz>
4) Run blzinstaller to install. Can take a while though.

Note : If u send the .blz file to ur phone without using pc suite, it normally ends up in the inbox. For 6600 and 3650 users, space on C: is limited, so go to <messages>, <options>, <settings>, <other> set the mem in use to mmc and then, use a file explorer (example, fexplorer, seleq, etc), go to e:/system/mail/(1st folder), and find the .blz file, its in one of the 16 folders labelled 0-9, a-f. den cut, paste to e: root dir.

Folder type of N-gage Games

Sometimes, when u get an N-gage game from irc, it doesnt come in .blz format, but in a folder named <system>. Open it and there should be another folder name <app>. Open it again, is a folder tts the game. For this example, the folder name in system/app tt u downloaded is <fifa>

For N-gage users, simple as hell, paste fifa folder into e:/system/app folder of ur phone, using the supplied usb cable. If u cant see the system folder when u plug the usb cable, change the folder settings to reveal all folders.

For 3650 and 6600 users, it will be a bit troublesome. You have to move the files one by one, into the exact place on ur mmc. So, you have to create a <fifa> folder on ur e:/system/app, then copy the files to the exact same location one by one.

Occasionally, u get another folder with the system folder when u download the game. You have to replace the 2 lib files in ur mmc. Place them in e:/system/LIB. if there is no such folder, create one.

So thats about it!

Note : Want to do this? Go get a MMC reader. Its the easiest & quickest way to trasfer files.

Solution to "Keygen not Opening" problem

Some of you might be facing this problem.
Keygen does not open when you click on it.

Cant delete files in your Inbox?

When you cant delete a file which is in your inbox the normal way, here is what you can do :

1. Install FExplorer.

2. Launch it and goto the path/folder of your message inbox. If its on the C drive, it would be C:\system\Mail\00001001_S and the same if its on the E.

3. You will notice there are more folders, 0 to9 and a to f. Just go look into all those folders and you should be able to find the file that you want to delete.

4. Once found, click on Options > File > Delete.

5. Exit FExplorer & go to your Inbox to delete the file again.

Backing up Phone Settings

If you ever come to a point when you need to hard format your phone or maybe upgrade to a new firmware, I'm sure you would definately like to save the current settings of your phone. So this is what you should do.

How to backup phone settings to MMC :

Menu > Extras > Memory > Options > Backup phone mem.

Restoring Settings :

Menu > Extras > Memory > Options > Restore from card.

Creating Sub-Folder on S60 Phones

The steps are a little bit tricky. You may have to try several times before you can actually create a sub-folder.

Disabling Sound of Multimedia Key

Some people do not like the sound of multimedia key. Some of the latest S60 phones add a new key, called Multimedia key, which is used to display additional shortcuts on the screen. By default, if you press they key, it produces sound.



We can disable this sound by pressing Multimedia key and then select Configure menu. At the end of the settings, there is Sounds option. If we change this to output, pressing Multimedia key will not produce any sound.



Compatible devices : s60 3rd Edition, Nokia N-Series.

Useful Shortcuts in S60 OSS Browser

Some of the latest S60 3rd Edition phones, such as Nokia E60, Nokia E61, Nokia E70, Nokia 3250, Nokia N80, Nokia N71, Nokia N91 and Nokia N92, are shipped with a very good web browser, i.e. S60 OSS Browser.

Note that S60 OSS Browser is usually called 揥eb

Fix for App close main error

Here is a description on how to fix the app closed main error, without formatting your phone!

* This fix was tested on a Nokia 6600 phone and it works.

1. Run any 3rd party application like FExplorer.



2. Follow this path: C:\system\bootdata\ and highlight the FirstBoot.dat file as seen on the image below.



3. Choose Options --> File --> Delete.



4. That's it,

Problems recording video (s60)

1. "Feature Not Supported" error!

This kind of problem happens when you put some n-gage libs on your mmc

since you want to play some n-gage games..so just delete these libs

(located in E:\system\libs):

-ECom.dll

-EComServer.exe

-Http.dll

-Httptcphnd.dll

-INetProtUtil.dll

-securesocket.dll

-SSL70.DLL

-ssladaptor.dll

2. Hang Video (not in night mode)

When recording video every second it will stop a while and

then another second,stop again for a while and it will repeat always

so when recording video you will see that the result is like a hang video

How can this problem happen? Its happening when you store your video in

1Giga mmc and above..

How to solved it? There are some ways to solve the problem

a. You have to update your phone's firmware

b. You may use 512 Mb mmc and lower

This problem is happenig on my 6630 phone..so i think it will also

happen for some S60v1 and s60v2 phones..

I believe there are still many virus from app n games but these are the only I found out..

So I suggest frens not to install the files which have been mentioned above..

I found them by using a lot of different antivirus (Symantec,norton,antivir,mcAfee,F-secure,etc..)

Different antivirus will find out different virus too..so installing a lot of antivirus wont be a

problem for me but remember dont Active all of them (can cause your phone hang)..

I just use them to Scan the files..

So if frens have installed the app n games above just delete them by using the Antivirus

2. Virus from bluetooth

I just found out commwarrior as the virus that comes from bluetooth

(I believe there are still other virus)

Removing Themes

Many people have experienced a bug where they install a theme on their device but when they try to remove it using the Application Manager there is no entry for it. I still see this problem on the latest N80IE firmware and on newer firmware for other devices as well. Don抰 despair though, as long as you install your themes to your memory card, there is an easy way to remove those unwanted themes.

Hiding Unwanted Gallery Images

There are several applications out there that use GIF and PNG images that upon installation will be displayed in your image gallery. Examples are Tom Tom, older versions of Papyrus, and also QuickContacts.



Hiding these images is extremely simple and can be done with Y-Browser. Just make note of the image names that you want to hide from your gallery.

First open Y-browser and select [options] -> [search files]. Now in the 揊ilename

Backup one MMC to another MMC

Some people have known well already how to do this..

But some other still dont know..

so i'll explain the simple and complete way to do this thing

Needed Items:

1 PC

1 Card/MMC reader

1 Old MMC

1 New MMC

How To Do:

1.) look at the name the first/old MMC is named and then take it out

2.) put in the new MMC.

3.) Format it through your phone: memory->option->format memory card

and then name the new MMC.

4.) take back out the New MMC

5.) put the old MMC into a MMC Reader that is connected to your PC.

6.) copy all of the MMC..make sure you have "show hidden files" enabled on your PC.

7.) make a new folder on your Desktop(PC) and Paste all files which you just copied into that folder.

8.) take out the Old MMC and Insert the new MMC into the card/mmc reader.

9.) open the new folder on your Desktop.

10.) highlight all of those files and folders, right ** on one of the files or folders, select "Copy"

11.) enter the new MMC slot..paste all the files and folders you just copied into the new MMC

12.) put the New MMC back into your phone, and you are done

Doube the sound of some phone

As you all know the sound of 6600 is extremely low ,you can double it by following method:

first insert your headphones into your 6600 phone

1) First go to tools-->settings-->enchantment

2) Select enchantment in use.

3) At there you will found there are 3 options select-->loopset

4) Now go to Oggplay, Powermp3, Ultra mp3 and play any song卻ee the efect of the sound卛t double the original sound
