At this site [ http://www.rage3d.com/board/showthread.php?t=33912408 ], I found an interesting read about that via a BIOS flash update it fixes the fan speed issue. If you read through the entire thing you can see that it has fixed the issue for many people. The original guy who showed us this fix provided a link to DL the BIOS update, but he also provided a link to a site that hosts practically all BIOS updates for many cards. It seems that the stock-BIOS that is on all current cards is (010.067) and that the update is (010.071). A direct link to this update can be found here [ http://www.mvktech.net/compone...,2304/parent,category/ ], via the BIOS hosting site mentioned earlier. You can navigate the site to search for your specific card maker, then card, then BIOS revision, however, any BIOS update listed from any card card maker will work on everyother card, just as long as it is the same card. So the link I provided is listed under ATI as the maker so everyone will feel safe, but no worries, as reported on the thread in the first link I provide, the update will work on any HD3870 PCIe 512mb card.

Dah susah nak post kat CARI guna henpon tadik.
Aku rasa dah terflash ke vBIOS yang ko edit.
Sb masa mula2 masuk, dpt msg fan profile dah berubah.
Nak search guna RBE pun, mcm dia detect rom yg ko edit je.

aku set Tmin 40C duty cycle 25%... lain sket jah ngan yg aku set kat aku punya 4830..
tgk idle dia spin brp... aku punya dia slow down sampai 9% @ 45C.. |
