Mr Wong,

Oh ya...there are going to have a Ki soceity school in butterworth? sweet..AIkido is growing....... [/quote]

There's not a really a dojo as i guess about, that location is maybe a flight school belongs to Air Force. Ki Society in Malaysia has 2 dojos else in JB beside Butterworth, Aikikai style in JB has no longer to taught in JB before Ki Society available over there.

Yonkajo.....
It is not that easy at first, but when you feel comfortable with this grab, you will like it.

every people have differents pessure point on Yonkajo lock, but stick with the basic. 1st of all, when you grab uke hand, use your hit to turn your body and follow by your grab. This will make your grab more effective. second when you about to turn your hit, lean some of your weight toward uke and then turn your hit.
by doing it, this will make uke to unbalance. get it?

Mr Jebat,

You're welcome! I'm just helping Aikido Yoshinkan Shudokan Dojo a bit but don't wish for rewards, as least more peoples know about Aikido. Right isn't it?

Have a nice day!

yohonme kumite

it's a series of attack and throw
and we do in in one straight line (not like jiyuwaza)

1) ikkajo nage
uke grab cross-hand (katate ayamochi), sheiteh turn behind leg 180 deg. and throw

2) kokyo nage
katate ayamochi, sheiteh moves like 'hiriki no yosei ni' and throw

3) sangkajo nage
from right kamae, sheiteh grabs uke's left hand (moves like 'shumatsu dosa ichi'), get the sangkajo lock, turn and throw

4) kudushi, koutehgashe & ikkajo nage
attack katate ayamochi, sheiteh turns 180 deg., step in to do shiho nage lock
but instead of pin down the uke, just throw him
don't release the grab, uke gets up and we follow him
step in, lock koutehgashe and throw (still don't release the grab)
when uke gets up again, step in & turn to get the ikkajo lock and throw

5) hidiyate
get the uke's elbow on our arm
step in and throw

6) ushiro nage
katate ayamochi
step behind uke and grab him down

8 throws
left & right side
sheiteh uke kotai
TOTAL: 32 throws!!!

- i remember this' one of the 1st kyu syllibus (if i'm not mistaken)

Mr Jebat,

It's great, i like to wish you good luck of 1st Kyu grading! It's why Ari Chatana Sensei just taught me kihon dosa at beginning of all, kihon dosa is very important for every step of Yoshinkan style. Ramlan Sensei asked me that did i learn about kihon dosa or not while i step over former dojo of Serdang Perdana (opposite South City), i forgot all of it already because it was a year later i left away from Tmn Maluri Dojo of Sonny Loke Sensei.

It's fast quite fast from beginner to 1st Kyu holder, you've such an intelligent for mastering what do you learn about. I mean from zero to hero, do you think that youself maybe become a trainer or not? (It's all right if you don't want to answer me) Ramlan Sensei can reached to shodan in 2 years, but it's in minimum about 4 or 5 years for those Aikikai members.

Have a nice day!

keep it up the good work ok jebat...............You sensei did a good job...
Say "Osu" to him...ok if he still remembers me. I think when he had trained with me, i was still a little guy. haaa
i think i was around 13-15.....I couldnt remember.....

oh ya...
in Aikikai school, students need to train for 4-5yrs to get their shodan huh.......what is the requirement to take this shodan test?

back to those day, in our school same thing but they have changed the grading system.  In American, some Yoshinkan schools design a shodan program that could make it in a yr.

oh well.........

I love it's new look, there's a bit new updated information! Shudokan also organizes Nihon Go tuition, it maybe helps for our Aikido because something is used by Nihon Go. Keep it working up!

from Taiwan Aikido Federation
(This is picked from Aikido Kyukyoku no Waza by Ueshiba Kisshomaru, Nidai Doshu)

Aikido as Budo

Aikido is heritage of ancient martial arts, but it is absolutely not a simply ancient martial arts. O Sensei was learned various styles of ancient arts, he unified those digest of ancient arts. As Aikido is a formula of ancient arts, it evolutes fowardly. At the same time, Aikido becomes a form of modern martial arts.

Beside Aikido, those modern martial arts are also Karate Do, Judo, Kendo, etc. But those modern arts becomes competitive sports, only modern Aikido is still no sparring match and still keeps Samurai spirit. Aikido isn't just a heritage of Japanese tradition, there's comes a new and fresh air as modern martial arts.

Mr Jebat, Ben. What's your opnion about it? I like to sharing about it with everybody of this board, but it's just a part of what do i sharing about. Ben, you can find it completely with a click to that link but i'm really sorry because it's in Chinese GB2312.

Have a nice day!

Yes, I agree on what the author has said. Nowadays, most martial arts are turn into sport, and no longer have a budo spirit.
