Liverpool have accepted a bid for Holland international Ryan Babel from Bundesliga outfit Hoffenheim.The forward was undergoing a medical with the German side ahead of his anticipated Anfield exit.

And the Reds confirmed soon after that the offer they had received for the former Ajax player, believed to be in the region of £7million, would be enough to secure his services.
Babel has now been given the green light to hold discussions over personal terms before putting pen-to-paper with his prospective new employers.  Accepted
A statement on the club's official website read: "Liverpool FC this afternoon announced they had accepted a bid from TSG 1899 Hoffenheim for the transfer of Dutch international Ryan Babel.
"
The Bundesliga club have now been given permission to discuss personal terms with the player, who has travelled to Germany."
Babel has been unable to make the anticipated impact on Merseyside following his £11.5million signing in the summer of 2007.
He made just 31 Premier League starts in his time with Liverpool and was more often utilised from the bench, with 60 further outings.

Liverpool have a made an official move for Ajax striker Luis Suarez.

And the Uruguay World Cup star wants to swap Amsterdam for Anfield before the transfer window closes.
He won't come cheap. With another two and a half years to run on his contract, Ajax will want £23 million.
Suarez is also on Tottenham's wish-list, but Harry Redknapp would first have to shift Robbie Keane and possibly Roman Pavlyuchenko too.

Kenny Dalglish has made support for Fernando Torres his No.1 priority.Liverpool have had Suarez watched on several occasions and are in pole position to go in with a firm cash offer.Suarez, 23, who has scored 81 goals in 108 matches for Ajax, was at the centre of one of the biggest storms of the World Cup.He delibertately handled on the line in the final seconds of extra-time against Ghana, and Uruguay won the resulting shoot-out to make the semi-finals.

Suarez was last season's Dutch footballer of the year and is understood to be particularly keen to line up alongside Torres. He believes the partnership could work as well as his international link with Diego Forlan.
Ajax sources confirmed that talks with Liverpool began at the weekend.
With Suarez pushing for a move, Dalglish and the Kop may soon have something to smile about.
