1. MELAKA A'FAMOSA WATER WORLD
A'Famosa Water Theme Park Sdn. Bhd. is the managing company for Water World
which occupies a land area of 20 acres. It is the only water theme park of its kind in the southern
region of this country and comprises of slides and pools of every kind. The park has lots of
interesting and unique features such as a man-made beach and a choice of water slides - all
designed to suit even the most sophisticated water enthusiasts.
Kids will find the Arabian Village an exciting adventure. For those looking for
excitement, take up the challenge by trying out Seven Storey High-Speed Slide. Feel the
adrenaline rush through your head as you slide down. Less daring souls can try out the Wave
Pool, Family Raft Ride and the longest 'Lazy River' in the world.
As every facility in the park meets safety levels of international standards, visitors can
enjoy the fun with a peace of mind
Arabian Village
Also bound to be a smash with the kids is Aladdin's Arabian Village, a water playground
which harkens back to the days of mystical genies, magic lamps and flying carpets. Adult
visitors to this kiddies area must be accompanied by a child!
Family Raft Ride
The Family Raft Ride is a wonderful experience for the entire family or a group of
friends. A giant raft carries up to 6 persons down a long, winding river.
High Speed Slide
If you dare, then climb up one of the two towering High Speed Slides for a breathtaking,
high velocity joyride aided by water and gravity. Once you climb up to the top of the towering
water slides, take in the sweeping views of the resort and surrounding countryside to work up
some courage before taking the plunge. Feel yourself 'fly' as you get totally airborne when you
go over three humps.
Lazy River
Another relaxing experience is the tube ride around the entire park along one of the
longest Lazy Rivers in the world. Lay back, stare at the blue sky above and contemplate on life's
little intricacies as the gentle current sweeps you along.
Wave Pool Stage
If you've been yearning for a trip to the beach but don't have the time, the Wave Pool is a
convenient alternative complete with sun, sand and surf. Get yourself a sun tan while dozing off
as the waves gently buffet you!
Hillside Restaurant
Shopping, group activities, electronic games, fast-food and local cuisine are all available at
Water World.
2.MELAKA RIVER CRUISE
An interesting and unique tour which visitors
must not miss while you are in Malacca, is the
Malacca River Boat Tour. Come and cruise
up the historical Malacca River from the
Malacca River Boat Jetty located near the
Dutch Square and you will be surprised by
what you will see and smell along this unique
river. In fact, this river boat ride was featured
in the Hollywood movie “ Entrapment “ in
1998.
Due to the tidal tide conditions, the river boat
will only operate when there is high tide. So
visitors interested to take this cruise are recommended to check up first on the operating times.
Also, the river cruise will only operate with a minimum 8 persons per voyage. The river boat will
cruise up the shallow Malacca River from her river mouth to Kampong Morten where the boat
makes her return trip. The distance is about 10 km from the jetty and takes about 45 minutes to 1
hour. A tour guide will highlight interesting things to you.
3.TAMAN MINI MALAYSIA
Taman Mini Malaysia, yang boleh dianggap sebagai sebuah taman tema, adalah sebuah tempat yang
paling sesuai untuk menyaksikan dan mempelajari tentang keunikan budaya masyarakat dari kesemua
negeri di Malaysia.Tarikan utama taman ini adalah replika rumah-rumah tradisional, yang setiap satunya
telah dibina berasaskan senireka dan keunikan setiap rumah tradisional di kesemua 13 negeri di
Malaysia.
Di dalam setiap rumah, pelawat akan berpeluang menyaksikan sendiri keindahan kraftangan negeri
berkenaan yang digunakan sebagai bahan hiasan di dalam setiap rumah yang dipamerkan. Selain
menjadi bahan pameran, kraftangan ini turut menjadi bahan untuk membolehkan pelawat mengenali
setiap negeri di Malaysia dengan lebih dekat lagi. Pakaian tradisional turut dipamerkan di dalam beberapa
buah rumah untuk tontonan umum.Walaupun dari pandangan umum semua rumah ini nampak seakanakan sama, mereka sebenarnya tidaklah serupa kerana setiap satu mempunyai identiti dan keunikan yang
tersendiri.Selain rumah-rumah tradisional ini, pelawat juga boleh menyaksikan pelbagai pertunjukan
kebudayaan selain permainan tradisional.
