wah. not sure whether i was really tired or not, but i ter-slept for about 5++ minutes.
the movie was just eh. won't be watching it twice, that's for sure.
maria bello was crap. hate her accent. sounds so fake and overdone. bf was no daniel craig, and alex[not sure of the actor's name], has potential, but tak nmpk kat dlm movie ni.
i just thought the movie would have fared better if they were to change it to a chinese movie alltogether, then only, i can really appreciate, Dato Michelle Yeoh's acting, and Jet Li's. now they, they were superb.  |

A mummy of mystery has come to light in Peru.
She was a woman who died about 1,600 years ago in the heyday of the Moche culture, well before the rise of the Incas. Her imposing tomb suggests someone of high status. Her desiccated remains are covered with red pigment and bear tattoos of patterns and mythological figures.
But the most striking aspect of the discovery, archaeologists said Tuesday, is not the offerings of gold and semiprecious stones, or the elaborate wrapping of her body in fine textiles, but the other grave goods.
She was surrounded by weaving materials and needles, befitting a woman, and two ceremonial war clubs and 28 spear throwers - sticks that propel spears with far greater force - items never found before in the burial of a woman of the Moche.
Was she a warrior princess, or perhaps a ruler? Possibly.
"She is elite, but somewhat of an enigma," said John Verano, a physical anthropologist at Tulane University, who worked with the Peruvian archaeologists who made the discovery last year.
Christopher Donnan, of the University of California at Los Angeles, was not a member of the research team but inspected the mummy and the tomb soon after the find.
"It's among the richest female Moche burials ever found," said Donnan, an archaeologist of Peruvian culture. "The tomb combines things usually found either exclusively in male or female burials - a real mystery."
The National Geographic Society announced the discovery and is publishing details in its magazine's June issue. The excavations, more than 640 kilometers, or 400 miles, northwest of Lima, were supported by the Augusto N. Wiese Foundation of Peru.
The Moche culture flourished in the northern Peru in the first 700 years A.D. The people built huge adobe pyramids. The woman's tomb was near the summit of a pyramid called Huaca Cao Viejo, a cathedral of the Moche religion.
Verano's X-ray examination revealed that the mummy was a young adult. Lying near her was the skeleton of another young woman who was apparently sacrificed by strangulation with a hemp rope, which was still around her neck. Such sacrifices were common in Andean cultures. Radiocarbon analysis of the rope indicated that the burial occurred around A.D. 450. |

maria bello was crap? hmmm.....dah agak dah.....tgk trailer pun cam tak best jer dier tu.... but takder la nak judge terus.... aku akan tgk jugak weekend ni.... Rachel was really formidable in that role, dah la cantik giler, her chemistry with BF was superb....... that's y it's hard for us to accept maria.....hmmm....

actually aku takder la problem ngan lakonan minah ni ...but sekarang dier gantikan Rachel yg we all loved so much in the first 2 movies, also had enormous amount of chemistry with Brendan Fraser......tu sbb kita asyik nak compare dorang tu..... |

watched it just now..here's my review... 
the movie is not that bad actually, but not that good either..the actions are great, effects not bad.... it's an ok fare... entertaining nevertheless but of course as a fan of the previous two installments... it's far inferior.....really miss the missing key actors, namely Rachel Weisz, Arnold Vosloo and Oded Fehr...
brendan fraser is his usual self...he is the rick o'connell we all loved.... but sometimes he looks bored..... great bod by the way.....but can't really accept the combo of him and his son Alex.... Luke Ford as Alex looks too mature for the role.... Brendan looks way hotter than him..... looking not a day older from the last installment..... despite the fact this movie is set 12 years after the last one....
Alex has lost his Brit accent...now fully fledged American slang.....Luke Ford has potentials but not really shown here....
John Hannah is also as usual...but his one liners are a bore sometimes... it's too much ....
Maria Bello looks really old.....gaunt even... seeing brendan kissing her is really painful to watch.... like he's kissing his mother or something..... thank god the director didnt really focus on romantic scenes between him n Maria as they did with him and rachel, cuz they (BF & MB) have absolute ZERO chemistry....
not really bashing on Maria... she's trying her best to be Evey..she's actually a good actress...her action scenes are not bad either.....but sadly, she can't fill the void left by the gorgeous n talented Rachel Weisz.... Maria's acting seems to be forced, especially her accent n facial expressions..... so fake....
loved Jet Li in his brief appearances......Datuk Michelle Yeoh n Isabella Leong are also ok..... loved the fight scene between Jet n Michellle...Anthony Wong didnt have much to do.... same goes to the ever so handsome Russell Wong..
others :
* why was it when Michelle cast the spell on Jet Li, she was reading sanskrit... but when she was reading the spell that wakes up the dead soldiers, she used english! i wonder whether the mummies understand english or not.....
* Michelle n Isabella earlier communicates in chinese.....but during michelle's death scene, they used english instead...
* Jonathan named his night club as IMHOTEPS....hehehe
* sometimes the movie reminds me too much of the 4th installment of Indy Jones....
i give 2 out of 5 stars.....

cter ni tgh tip top kat cinema. tiket sold out memanjang.. cter ni lebih fokus pasal life anak dia la.. maybe pasni BF dh tak nak blakon kot dlm mummy.. bg new generation take over..wawawa cepatnya.. tak puas.. hurm..Maria Bello plak berlakon mcm kn paksa. nampak sgt watak dia buat2. cuba nak terikut2 watak rachel weisz tapi tak menjadi.. jet li n M. Yeoh mmg best.. n aku rasa scene diorg lebih best... hehehehe

tak pernah tengok cerita mummy tu before this -
yang 1st and 2nd tu -
tapi yang ni tengok sebab ada jet li - walaupun lines dia
berapa sangat dan voice pun... macam monster pula -
overall - nothing to be shout about this movie -
tak ada apa istimewa except mungkin sejarah yang
diceritakan pasal immortality and those soldiers yang
dbunuh.... juga a bit about cinta general ming dan zi yuan
yang mana tak la ditekankan sangat tapi kesan dari tu juga lah
dendam tu ada -
dari segi lakonan - semua tak ada yang best mana pun
brandon frasier pun macam biasa aje macam film journey aje -
yang perempuan tu - saya tak sure sapa - pun - ntah - biasa aje
script film ni tak ada mencabar pun ...
yang jadi anak depa pulak macam boleh jadi adik or kawan aje
sbb parents nampak muda aje -
yang askar2 china yang tetiba nak berkhidmat dgn emperor tu
macam nak munasabah la pulak.... nakkan emperor tu dihidupkan
semula.. script antara emperor (jet li) dengan general tu macam
kambing aje... memang tak best script depa -
anyway some funny scenes juga -- uncle jon kinda funny -
dan last yang dia dapat 'eye of shang ri la' ke apa ke nama batu tu
rasanya - next mummy kat peru la tu -
kalau nak santai biasa - boleh tengok
tapi saya rasa tengok kat dvd aje pada sesapa yang ada dvd -
tak adalah nak recommend mana cerita ini --
