Sandro Rosell Has Officially Taken Over As Barcelona President

Sandro Rosell has officially taken over as the 39th president in Barcelona's history after a ceremony in the gardens of La Masia on Thursday. Rosell has replaced outgoing supremo Joan Laporta at the helm 18 days after securing a win at the polls.

The new president won 61.35 per cent of the votes at the elections on June 13, when 35,021 chose him to lead the club to further success. With 57,088 members registering, Rosell won the most votes in the Blaugrana’s history.

Laporta and Rosell symbolised the handing over of the mandate with a shake of the hands and the outgoing administration was relieved of all duties. From today Rosell and his team start a mandate of six years at the helm.

“I will be a president for everyone. We are all Barca,” Rosell was quoted as saying by reporters ahead of the ceremony.

Barcelona agree 9.5 million euro Adriano deal

MADRID (AFP) – Spanish champions Barcelona on Friday agreed a 9.5 million-euro deal with Sevilla to sign Brazilian utility player Adriano, the club said Friday.

The 25-year-old, who can play at full-back or as a wide midfielder, will cost an initial fee of 9.5 million euros and a conditional four million extra depending on his performances.

The deal depends on Adriano passing a medical on Saturday at the club's Camp Nou stadium.

Adriano has been at Sevilla since 2004, twice tasting success in both the King's Cup (2007, 2010) and the UEFA Cup (2006, 2007).

He would become the first player to move to Barcelona since the arrival of new club president Sandro Rosell at the beginning of July.

Barca have already completed the signing of Spanish international striker David Villa, who arrived from Valencia for a fee close to 40 million euros.

sbenarnya atas kelab-kelab dan manager2 yg brani pakai local boys, cam stengah kelab tu tak ramai gak local player main, youth players pun sampai tarikh matang jual je kat kelab lain

kelab2 liga bbva ni bukan kaya cam kelab2 epl, kebanyakannya miskin je, tu yang byk pakai local talent tu
