Dino, Juhi, Nandita cheer Jackie Chan

Mr. JITEN HEMDEV & SHABNAM HEMDEV of Star Entertainment. Pvt. Ltd. organized a special screening of Jackie Chan's ROB-B-HOOD at PVR cinema Juhu yesterday. The screening was well attended, with celebs making their presence felt to wish Jiten Hemdev, Star Entertainment who would be organizing premieres of Hollywood films regularly.
Amongst the celebs spotted were Dino Morea, Juhi Chawla, Poonam Dhillon, Padmini Kolhapuri, Nandita Mahtani, Gurpreet (Sujal) with wife and others.
Post the screening, everyone was heard talking about Jackie Chan and his antics on screen! Seems like Jackie Chan has a cult following in India and Rob-B-Hood in English and (Bunty, Babloo aur Jackie in Hindi) is all set to rock at the Box Office in India!! |

Left searching for Tabu, film makers approach Tulip

Tulip, after signing on 5 big banner Bollywood films since her critically acclaimed Mathrubhumi, is all set to create a huge impact in the South too. Presently she is shooting for the last schedule of her Telugu film with very accomplished technicians in Hyderabad.
Telugu industry has seemed to have accepted the critically acclaimed performer wholeheartedly. She has been inundated with scripts for performance based roles. In fact since Tabu has not been doing many films, Tulip has been approached by film makers keen to sign a younger actress with Tabu's sensibilities.
Tulip is simply ecstatic since she considers herself to be the biggest fan of both Tabu and Rani Mukherjee.
Says Tulip, "I'm simply overawed and take it as a compliment if they consider me for these roles. I consider myself to be the biggest fan of both Tabu and Rani Mukherjee. They are simply so talented." |

Upen hopeful about SLBB

Since the promotional song of Shakalaka Boom Boom is on air, Upen is on an upbeat mood.
The songs are rocking the charts and the look of the song has caught the fancy of everyone. In fact Upen looks so good in the song and his performance is carrying such positive reports that producer director Suneel Darshan has called him the next Akshay Kumar. He has already signed Upen for his next 2 films.
Suneel Darshan is also all praise for Upen's professionalism. No wonder, even Subhash Ghai has signed Upen for 3 film contract post '36 China Town'. No wonder Upen is quite upbeat about his films and hopes that Shakalaka Boom Boom would repeat the success of his debut film. |

"I know many think I am a girl" - Lovely Singh

Director Satish Kaushik's assistant, Lovely Singh, makes his directorial debut with the forthcoming musical romantic comedy, Kya Love Story Hai, releasing worldwide on April 20.
Lovely might sound like an unusual name to have and a female one, and the young director is not oblivious to this! "I know many think Lovely is a girl. I'm also aware that it's a strange name but then it's been my nick name for long, and ever since I entered the industry, everyone's known me as Lovely. So I chose to stick by that in stead of opting for my original."
Just for the record, Lovely's real name is Rakesh, and Kya Love Story Hai features Tusshar Kapoor, Ayesha Takia & Kareena Kapoor.
It is Studio 18's second overseas release after their maiden hit, Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd. |

Anuuj Saawhney thrilled with Vikram Bhatt抯 script

There are few artistes who give prominence to a script so much so that they do not sign a film without comprehensively analysing the script and the scope it gives for performance. Actor Anuuj Saawhney is one of them. But then, as every rule has exceptions, the actor has gone ahead to sign a film without insisting on the script and it is for Ajhai Acharya's film, Life Main Kabhie Kabhie!
Ask what compelled him to sign the film without reading the script and the actor is quick to say, 揥hen the concept of LMKK narrated to me by Vikram Bhatt, I decided that I had to do it, because it was absolutely good! I have always had great admiration for Vikram's works. And upon hearing the narration, I realised that there was no reason for me to prolong giving a nod for it. I am eagerly looking forward to this film."

Kareena to her fans - "Yaara Ishq To Karo"

Even as the soundtrack of the much-awaited romantic comedy KYA LOVE STORY HAI officially releases this week, according to sources, Kareena Kapoor is gearing up to shoot her sensational track for the film within the next day or two. The film also stars Tusshar Kapoor and Ayesha Takia.
To be choreographed by Bosco, the picturisation will be against an extremely grand and expensive set. Apparently called "Yaara Ishq To Karo", Alisha Chinai will provide the vocals for Kareena.
The shoot will be covered elaborately by the media in Mumbai and the video will be released on air before the end of the month.
Meanwhile, the opening track, MISS YOU EVERYDAY, picturised on Tusshar and Ayesha is already playing across radio stations overseas.
The film releases worldwide on April 20. |

SRK in a guest appearance in upcoming Yash Raj film?

His CHAK DE INDIA is slated for an August 10 release but chances are that Shah Rukh Khan would be seen a little earlier too on the silver screen for another Yash Raj film.
If grapevine is to be believed, SRK has been roped in for a guest appearance in the June release of YRF - JHOOM BARABAR JHOOM. A film which already has Amitabh Bachchan in a special appearance, it is also touted to have SRK included in the film's cast.
Now if that indeed happens, it would be one great watch to have the two superstars sharing the same frame in the aftermath of their so-called professional rivalry that has picked up steam post DON and KBC! |

Murli Sharma reads Black Friday post release!

Actor Murli Sharma, who was recently seen in the much acclaimed Anurag Kashyap's 'Black Friday' as the tough cop Virender Vani, has in real life also literally gone into the case!
Post the release of the movie and the rave reviews he's been receiving, Murli has taken to reading the book for the first time surprisingly!
Generally when actors read the book first before starting the shoot as a part of their homework, Murli did not such thing, because "Anurag was so well versed and precise about what each actor was required to do that, that the need to read the book or do some homework was just not there!"
But apparently the movie has fascinated him so much now that the first thing he did was go to a book stall and pick a copy of Black Friday! Not too much of a book freak, Murli was sure he wanted to read this book at least and actually finished reading it within two days!
Well now aren't we all surprised how professional and convincing he was as the tough senior inspector in the movie, now that we know he had done no background study!! |

After a hiatus, audience would be getting an opportunity to watch a film coming from the house of Subhash Ghai.
Under the banner of Mukta Searchlight Films comes KHANNA & IYER, a sweet romantic comedy which also acts as the launch pad of newcomers Sarvar Ahuja and Aditi Sharma. Promotion of the film has begun and KHANNA & IYER is being readied for a March 30 release.
The film has music by Tabun Sutradhar while Sunil Jha and Rajesh Johari have written the lyrics. T-Series has bagged the music rights of the film and would be releasing the album on stands soon.

This Friday i.e. 16th March, it is the turn of Pritam as he awaits a similar fate at the theaters. JUST MARRIED and HAT TRICK are the two films arriving this week and incidentally both have Pritam at the helm of compositions.
While the music of JUST MARRIED has a peppy and melodious feel to it, HAT TRICK too boasts of good variety of songs that range from love ballads to theme songs to bhangra dance numbers which makes it an immensely likeable album. |
