Nick K pon tergolek
tadi mcm terbaca satu comment, serious dia kena booed? kat home kot.

Fans dia marah sbb dia dh leading 2 sets n lter on kat 5th set dia ada match pt tp still kalah...

Kyrgios ni attitude problem... terlalu berlagak sbb dia talented. Tp talent saja w/out hard work x cukup.

Kat shanghai last yr dia tanked the match klu tak silap... mls nk lawan... kena fine $40k n suspended 2 bln... tp shortened ... sebelum2 tu dh byk kali dh news psl bad behavior dia ni...

Padan muka kalah si Nick K ni! Poyo sgt la mamat ni and I am happy for Seppi for the upset.

I tgk masa sdg hangat kat set ke5 tu... tp tetiba ada call dari yg tersayang la pulak... lps habis call tgk result je laa.. x sangka seppi menang... tp baguslah tu..

good morning!

Day 3:

Not everyone is sponsored

There’s a belief that anyone you see in the second round of a Grand Slam tournament must have been given their tennis clothing by a sponsor and be paid to wear it, but not Daniel Evans. The British player warmed up for his second-round match against seventh seed Marin Cilic by heading to a Melbourne clothes shop and buying eight $19.99 shirts and eight pairs of shorts following the decision of his clothing sponsor to drop him from 1 January. Evans said he was more concerned with the shirts than the shorts, but doesn’t expect to have to go back for more because he played the whole of his four-set victory over Cilic in one of each. The worrying thing for him is that he hasn’t yet been called by another clothing sponsor with an offer, but maybe now he’s beaten the world No.7 and will be ranked well inside the top 50 after this Australian Open, the phone will start ringing.

2. You’re only ever a split-second from an injury
Even the most in-form player can’t take anything for granted, as a pulled muscle or a twist of an ankle can interrupt the momentum without any warning. So it was that world No.1 Andy Murray suddenly found his chances of a first Australian Open title in the balance after half-jarring his right ankle early in the third set of his match against Russian qualifier Andrey Rublev. Murray won’t know for certain until he wakes up on Thursday whether there’s any damage that might affect his chances, but he said in his on-court interview that he didn’t think there would be any ill-effects. Even so, the physicality of today’s tennis means that any sudden change of direction can change the course of a player’s – or tournament’s – destiny.

1. Federer is still not match-tough
There’s a term the players use to denote whether they are honed for being competitive: ‘match-tough’. It refers to when a player has enough matches under their belt that they’re able to play the big points well because they’ve played so many big points in recent weeks. That’s the significant element that Roger Federer is still missing. He’s clearly fit and healthy, and enjoying being back after his six-month injury layoff. But even in his straight-sets victory over American Noah Rubin, it was clear he is still not fully match-tough. Federer had the experience to step up his level when he needed it most, but admitted afterwards to not having created enough opportunities on Rubin’s serve, and not to have turned defence into attack as much as he’d have wanted. Every win for Federer means more match practice, but it could be he’s still a little too undercooked to be a serious factor at this Australian Open.

partial day 4 preview. i skipped certain player's news.

Lucie Safarova was among 18 women stretched to three sets in her opening match, the Czech saving nine match points as she overcame Yanina Wickmayer 3-6 7-6(7) 6-1 in two hours and six minutes.

It doesn’t get any easier for the popular Safarova, who now meets Serena Williams in Thursday’s night session at Rod Laver Arena. The 61st-ranked Safarova is yet to claim a win in nine matches against the world No.2.

Serena inflicted her last win over Safarova in the 2015 French Open final, and her focus is unwavering as she targets a record 23rd Grand Slam title in Melbourne.

Asked about her wedding plans to Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, the recently-engaged Serena quickly made her priorities clear.

“February I'll start looking at the bigger picture of my life,” she said. “But right now I'm just so focused that this is kind of all I can think about.”

It highlights a harsh reality about that superstar existence; it may be an enviable life, but it’s not achieved without sacrifices and hard work.

HOT TIP
Karolina Pliskova found her Grand Slam footing as she defeated Venus and Serena Williams en route to a finals showing at the 2016 US Open. Already a titlist at Brisbane in 2017, the world No.5 zipped past Sara Sorribes Tormo in the first round, and should make quick work of Anna Blinkova in the second. Expect the Czech to win in two.

UPSET ALERT
Dominic Thiem, the highly-touted No.8 seed, would be right to be wary as he faces Jordan Thompson in the second round. Infused with the spirit of Australian hero Lleyton Hewitt, the 22-year-old is filled with confidence after a fighting five-set win over Joao Sousa in the first round.

MUST WATCH
Former champion Nadal and former finalist Baghdatis will provide the feel-good factor in their Day 4 encounter. They’ve played nine matches, world No.9 Nadal winning all but one of them against the 36th-ranked Baghdatis.
