Lee Min-ho face expression set

SBS drama "City Hunter" Lee Min-ho's 12 different facial expression sets is heating online up.

This piece is displaying all of Lee Min-ho's emotional faces from all of his dramas "Boys over Flowers", "Personal Taste" and "City Hunter".

'Hee No Ae Rak' in Korean means sadness and happiness, meaning the emotions a human being can feel and represents the 4 basic emotions of a person.

Lee Min-ho in the picture is showing various expressions from his characters in the dramas he is in.

Netizen's say, "His face allows different expressions from different angles", "He not only has a cold a macho face but also a strong eyesight from his good-natured eyes and they are absorbing".

Meanwhile, on the episode of "City Hunter" on the 20th, Lee Y oon-seong (Lee Min-ho) saves L ee Jin-pyo (Kim Sang-joong) who is in danger from Cheon Jae-man's puppets. This drama is on air every Wednesday and Thursday nights at 9:55PM.

Actor Lee Min Ho reveals selca

Actor Lee Min Ho greeted his fans on his me2day account on July 21st, saying, “Currently in the process of filming. Are you curious as to what it’s for? The City Hunter team is fighting until the very end. Everyone, stay strong through the hot weather!”

The text, along with a selca, also uploaded to Min Ho’s linked accounts for Twitter, Facebook, and Weibo, induced tremendous excitement that fans could not hide.

Within 15 minutes of updating his me2day account, the post received over 850 hits and within 6 minutes his Weibo update received 3,100 hits and 2,200 comments.

SBS TV series "City Hunter" - Final Episode
"Kim Young-joo probably did too. Because he was his dad, since he was his dad. That's why he covered up and concealed [his crimes] for him. But do you think it really was for his dad?" Lee Yoon-sung (Lee Min-ho) ends up succeeding at getting revenge on his dad Choi Eung-chan (Chun Ho-jin). But not in his foster dad Lee Jin-pyo's (Kim Sang-joong) way but his own way. Not by killing or harming but by revealing his crime and getting him punished for it rightfully which is City Hunter's way. For Lee Jin-pyo, getting the five men punished was priority but for Yoon-sung, bringing change to society so that the tragedies like that on the sea of Nampo does not repeat itself was priority. This is only natural for Yoon-sung who regards "the trust that politicians, elected by the people, will engage in politics conscientiously" as equal to "the trust of the 21 people who would've waited on the sea of Nampo based on their country's promise." Because that is the only way he can keep defeat the monsters of the past century without turning into a monster himself.

Of course, it was a shame that the fathers had to commit political/physical suicide to make it possible for the show to see the clean ending where Yoon-sung did not get blood on his hands and one did not give up on justice for his love of his family. Choi Eung-chan knew what Yoon-sung wanted but he handed him the books on the corruptions himself and Lee Jin-pyo, who failed at getting revenge, died after taking the blame for his son's criminal charges when Yoon-sung cried out that he wants to live an ordinary life. There were times "City Hunter" got criticized for its lax portrayal of Yoon-sung's action sequences but the way in which the drama had truly lacked reality was that it did not show that fathers will willingly die fighting for their younger generations. However, this is understandable given that the drama showed the desire of the times instead of being devoted to portraying reality as it is. "City Hunter," which claimed to be the prequel of its original work, succeeded at portraying on a Korean hero of the year 2011 who tried to put a stop to the wrongdoings carried out by previous generations. So this man, who was raised for revenge, rid himself of all of his ill-fated relationships and returned to the city as a free citizen, not a monster, and we came to see a hero named Lee Yoon-sung, not Saeba Ryo.

◆Meticulously monitoring his rehearsal performance!

The phone LMH is using in the picture to monitor his rehearsal performance is the handphone Lee Yoon Sung uses in the drama. It allows him to monitor himself and also functions as a stage prop, killing two birds with one stone.

◆Practicing the script without rest

"He's reading the script. Since various scenes are filmed at the same time, filming occurs under pressing time constraint and last minute changes are ultimately unavoidable. MH is reading and metabolizing the script before deciding how he should deliver his role. Discussing with fellow actors before filming helps him to immerse himself into Yoon Sung's emotions naturally without appearing abrupt."

Seeing MH reading the script in itself is like a picture straight out of a magazine. The way he earnestly pours over the script is what made him the person he is today.

◆He goes over the script again while putting on make-up

"Towards the latter part of filming, it becomes increasing harder to find extra time to prepare for the role. Instead, he demonstrates the know-hows by reading the script in his spare time."

Earlier on, we mentioned how LMH earnestly pours over the script. His preparation is thorough indeed. The script never leaves his hand until he starts filming.

◆"'City Hunter' staffs are working hard!"

"Right before the rehearsal, LMH, the director and the staff discusses about the scene. They discuss back and forth about everything ranging from where the camera will be placed and how it will move, what emotions or feelings the scene is to convey and etc. This is how the impressionable drama is made. All the staffs are hard at work."

Lee Min Ho is a modest actor who never forgets the effort of the staff-on-site. After sincerely practicing the scripts and entering into filming, he pays careful attention to what the staffs tell him. Although LMH deflects the praise of the 'cool-looking' scenes as the hard work of the staff, the part this earnest and modest actor plays cannot be undermined.

◆LMH's know-hows regarding continuous filming day and night

"He's fallen asleep. This is also a much needed/enjoyed know-how when one has to film continuously day and night. However, this doesn't last long, he has to strive hard up til the last broadcast^^"

Filming day and night is a must when in a mini-series. As the leading role, it is almost impossible to find time to rest. Filming day and night became increasingly frequent towards the latter half of the drama. Lee Min Ho had to overcome this hard schedule by finding any time he can to nap in between breaks.
