Informal lesson no. 1!
Horizontal 8
Think of drawing no.8 with your hip. So if you imagine you got 2 pencil stuck facing down on your hip, you are drawing no. 8 on the floor with it.
Choose a hip to start with. From neutral position, slightly twist the hip 45 degree to the front and and draw an circle by sweeping your hip from front to the back. Coming back to neutral position from behind. Start the next movement by doing the same with the other hip. Smooth out the movement by going on continuously.
This movement is very good in toning those thigh muscle and hip muscle. Also it helps in improving balance and gracefulness. The continuous hip movements relaxes the mind.
This is the easiest move so far. And normally most all women can do it on the first time! :music: |

ehehe..takpe..skill tu seme boleh dipelajari
i dah menari belly dancing ni nk dekat 5 tahun la. i learnt it while i was in UK, doing my degree. mase mule2 pun, keras jugak badan ni. mmg banyak moves yg i tak leh buat. yg plg susah i ingt mase i mule2 blaja dulu, is vertical 8, shimmy and egyptian walk. tp sbb minat, i slalu practise sorg2 dlm bilik depan mirror. ehehe. syok sendiri la sorg2 :lol
ni sbb personal kenapa i suke belly dancing - sbb it makes me feel good after dancing. wpun buat sket2 je, but since i am really working those deeper muscle, i still sweat. n bile i tensen2, i suke belly dancing to release tension. losing myself in the music n dance is really relaxing. |
