Yes, I am now reading FT books... nak mula baca buku Melayu balik yang dah lama terbengkalai.. Memperkayakan kosa kata yang terlalu banyak baca buku Inggeris ;)

akhirnya aku berjaya jugak menghabiskan sophie's world....punya la lama nak menghabiskan....2 bulan lebih....

susah sikit aku nak fahamkan buku ni sebab fokus utamanya adalah falsafah. bermula dari socrates hinggalah kepada ahli falsafah moden....termasuk jugak diselitkan teori-teori dari charles darwin, teori big bang dan sebagainya. huh susah jugak nak fahamkannya......tapi kebanyakkanya bercerita pasal ahli falsafah barat.....ada jugak diselitkan pasal sains, seni, ekonomi, politik, agama dan banyak lagi.

antara  part menarik  dimana bab tu membincangkan pasal karl marx dan falsafahnya  dari segi ekonomi. sebelum mereka membincangkan pasal falsafah marx tu, penulis ni memberi contoh yang agak familiar dengan kita. contoh yang diberi ialah watak dalam 'gadis penjual mancis'. lagi diselitkan jugak watak little red riding hood (teringat pulak desperate housewives), grimm's fairy tales, fairy tales karya hans christian anderson dan lain-lain....contoh-contoh ni dikaitkan dengan perkara yang dibincangkan mengenai seseorang ahli falsafah tu.

menarik sebab diolahkan dalam bentuk novel.

"The Five People You Meet in Heaven" by MITCH ALBOM

This is the same author whose international best seller is Tuesdays with Morrie



This book starts off with this guy named Eddie who died to save a girl in an amusement park called Ruby Pier.
SO when he died, he endured a review of his life from childhood and met 5 people who taught him about his life and how all of us are interconnected to each other and each of our lives are significant even  if we think otherwise.

A good story.Easy to read and understand.Highly recommended!

Another book I read was "The Historian" by Elizabeth Kostova



This book is mainly about this 16 year old girl and her search for the truth on Dracula and vampires.

This debut novel from Kostova contains elements from many genres - thriller, suspense, mystery, historical fiction, and vampire lore. Very entertaining but somehow after I got to page 300, it became abit mundane to read, tak tau apesal maybe the author dah takde idea kot. Though I feel that the story concept and character development deserve five stars, I feel that there are a few important flaws in this book which put it into the four star category.

Some people have compared this book with The Da Vinci Code. But I think its very different - Dan Brown's book is much much better.

But kudos to her on her first attempt!I would recommend this to anyone who has interest in vampires and history of  the Ottoman Empire and Eastern Europe.

not bad.
looking at things with a different views. it's about Susie and she's speaking to
us from heaven. She's been raped and murdered when she was fourteen.
All she could is watch her family from up above. Over the years, her friends
and siblings grow up and do all the things she never had the chance to do herself.

Buku ni OK. sedih betul bila kita hendakkan sesuatu tapi kita tahu yg
kita takkan dpt walau macam mana kita usaha and berdoa. You can read
this book in one day if time permits. And then, u could go on with another book.
